For my 30th hub (is it that many already) i decided to inject a bit of humor and try to translate some Scottish phrases to English.E.G. "OCH AYE THE NOO" which actualy doesn`t really make any sense in English or in Scottish lol it means oh yes just now.

yer jake-ets ona slack nail
( your jacket is on a slack nail) YOUR JOB IS AT RISK
the wheels fell off the bogey
(the wheels fell off the buggy) EVERYTHING WENT WRONG
gonny no dae that PLEASE STOP DOING THAT
awa wi ye ya cheeky **** afore a skelp yer lug GO AWAY YOU CHEEKY **** BEFORE I SLAP YOUR EAR.

to be honest i dont know,but i think they have formed from the various Scottish dialects....jimmy
scot gaelic isn't far from irish gaelic and from what I've noticed in irish the slang is much more likely to come from british slang than from irish wordz, so I'd think no. head in irish for example is ceann.
