Playboy featured this petite (only 5 feet tall) beauty in both its magazine and on its television channel. Tila got her own show, A Shot At Love, on MTV premiered on October 9, 2007.

Tila Tequila, is an American model, entertainer, and singer residing in West Hollywood, California. She was born as Tila Nguyen and has her screen name as Tila Tequila popularly known.

Tila Nguyen (pronounced /tiːˈlɑː ˈnʊjɪn/) (legal name: Thien Thanh Thi Nguyen, born October 24, 1981), was born in Singapore, where her family had emigrated from Vietnam after the Vietnam War. They stayed in Singapore for a couple of years before moving again, this time to Houston, Texas.

Although Tila and her older sister and brother grew up in a strict, sheltered environment, throughout middle school and high school, Tila Tequila joined gangs, did drugs, got into fights, and even spent time in juvenile detention centers to get straightened out.

Music, Modeling and Film Career

Tila Tequila's life showed signs of brightening up when, at the age of 18, she was approached by a scout for Hugh Hefner's Playboy magazine in a mall. Tila Tequila's ambition kept growing, and she set out to establish a website promoting herself. TilasHotSpot.com would see quick growth on the Internet. Tila Tequila's modeling work launched her into television, and she appeared on the Playboy Channel, MTV and as a contestant on VH1's reality series, Surviving Nugent.

At age 20, she acted on her interest in rock music and started looking for bands willing to have her join. She eventually assembled a band called Beyond Betty Jean, for which she was singer and songwriter. A major turn in Tequila's music career occurred during the April 24, 2006 taping of MTV's Total Request Live.

Tila's increasing exposure made Tila Tequila all the more adamant about invading the airwaves. After appearing as herself in several one-off roles, Tila Tequila got her own dating show in 2007 on MTV called A Shot At Love with Tila Tequila. The show was a huge hit. That year she also appeared in the flick I Know Pronounce You Chuck and Larry with Jessica Biel and Adam Sandler. Her 2009 film roles include Horrorween.
