MAY 29TH UPDATE

So I will admit I am shocked that Dale got voted off last week. I really thought Lisa was going to go and I am quite sure she will go tonight. I thought Dale had some really creative ideas and talent but perhaps he was getting tired, frustrated, or just wasn't being too detail oriented. I think the rest of the team was having a problem with his attitude as well.

Tonight is the last challenge before the finale. I am sure Richard and Antonia will be in it. Let's watch what happens!

MAY 19TH UPDATE

Andrew got voted off! I cannot believe he went before Lisa! Even though his personality was annoying, I still thought he did a good job in the kitchen. And he works at Le Cirque so how bad can his skills really be? And remember early on, he was the one he created the mock caviar that really impressed the judges.

My prediction is that Dale and Richard will be the final two to battle it out for Top Chef!

MAY 7TH UPDATE So Nikki got voted off this week — I think it was a decision that was long overdue! After all, outside of the pasta dish that she made early on in the competition, what has she done that really stood out? Actually, I think the fact that she ran out of food for the judges on the football tailgating challenge was a pretty big mistake -- and yet she still stayed around.

With the Wedding Wars Challenge, Nikki clearly should have taken the lead. It seemed like she started to, but then took a back seat. And she owns her own restaurant in New York City? That seems to be an oxymoron! Most chefs I know who truly believe in themselves and their cuisine will do whatever it takes to really make their mark on a meal. And I don't think the others on her team were pushing back. It seemed to me like they were looking to her for her leadership. And yet the other team even made a better pizza! Go figure!

Lisa's cake didn't look all that appealing either, but, perhaps as the judges said, it did taste better. Frankly, I think her days are numbered as well and I predict she is the next to go!
