We have been traveling between Lousaian and Florida for around 20 years now. My family lives in La and his lives in Fl. When we started out we were a lot younger as you already know. The traveling was'nt so bad we could do it in a day and not feel the effects, the gas was resonably priced. The roads were in bad shape or they were under construction so we were held up a lot. Now the road's are a little better in some area's the construction is still going on and gas in unbelieveable. If i recall we spent close to $50.00 a trip one way when we started out now the price has tripled. Also the trip is a lot harded on us, we still dirve straight through but it take's a toll on our bodie's. We have seen some improvement in road's but not a lot, the road in La. on I 10 is still like a washboard in some places. And it seem's like the roads in Florida are still under construction. But as long as we have family in both state's we will probably keep traveling.
