This next product isn’t necessarily for everyone, but for those who like gaming, TRITTON’s gaming headphones are one of the best gaming headphones around.

The AX 720 uses Dolby Digital and Dolby Headphone technology for very, very good sound for the Xbox 360, Sony Playstation 3, or a PC. In fact, it comes with an decoder box amp that the user has to plug into the system itself, and then use an optical cable. From there, this amp can connect to the system via USB. The fiber optic cable also works with a DVD player.

It can also connect to the PC and be used as an ordinary pair of headphones. All the user needs to do is plug the pink connector into the microphone port, and the green end into the headphone jack. From there, you will have headphones will fully immersive sound, plus a detachable microphone that installs very easily.

By the way, these gaming headphones work well with any iPod or compatible MP3 player. I checked it out, and it seemed to work fine when I plugged in the green part into the headphone jack. I can only assume that it works with anything with a headphone jack.

Of course, this is really designed for the Xbox and Playstation 3, really. In fact, it’s probably designed for those Xboxers who can spend all day playing Halo in one of its many forms. I can just see a player fragging with these on, maybe talking trash on the microphone. Yes, there are other games besides Halo that use a microphone to chat with others, but that is probably one of the most popular.

One of the best features is the volume control that is located on the wire itself. The volume control is to control the volume of whatever teammates that you are communicating with via the microphone.

The headphones can detach themselves from the unit on the in-wire controls. So if you have to leave your gaming console or PC for any reason, then you can disconnect the headphones and go about your business until you come back. It’s better than disconnecting the headphones at the headphones jack, and letting the wire just hang there. By the way, the wires to this guy are incredibly long at 12.5 feet.

You should be able to get the TRITTON AX 720 at the TRITTON website or at retail stores everywhere for a price of about $129.99.
