Are You Ready to Obtain the Life You Dream of?

What does it mean to take responsibility for your life? It means, taking responsibility for your thoughts, feelings, and actions. As we fill our schedule with busyness like people to see, things to buy, money to make, family to care for, and careers to advance in, we tend to live life with our mind on auto pilot.

Have you ever considered that a majority of your life is on auto pilot? We get up in the morning, get ready for the day, go through the day, often doing the same ole thing, we get home, watch some tv, eat dinner, and then go to bed to do the same thing all over again. Much of this activity is done with our mind on auto pilot.

When we take responsibility for our thoughts we think intentionally. How do we think intentionally? We set goals and think of our goals continuously. These goals can be large or small as long as we are setting goals.

Whether we want to quit smoking, create better health, manage our anger, make more money, or just learn to destress, we can set a goal and obtain it. That is taking responsibility for our life and we begin with our thoughts.

When we think about our goals we start to feel better about life and then we take actions towards these goals because we know we will feel better. That is taking responsibility for your thoughts, feelings, and actions. When you take responsibility you automatically learn to destress yourself.

Step one: Pick a goal or choose how you would like to live your life.

Step two: Make it specific. Write down what you want by when.

Step three: Set some rules. Make a list of rules that you will follow in order to obtain this goal.

Step four: Make a list of things you have to do to obtain this goal.

Step five: Write out a goal statement in order to remind yourself what you are working towards.

Step six: Carry your goal statement with you and read it often. Read it a minimum of three times a day, morning, noon, and night.

Step seven: Have fun and be playful, it is an important part of happiness.

Follow these steps and you will find yourself taking responsibility for your life through intentional thoughts, feelings, and actions.
