Get Rid of the Drama in Your Life
There are so many different details in life that can become overwhelming and difficult to deal with in and of themselves. We absolutely have to take on one thing at a time in order to keep life organized and to stay sane.
Many of us tend to take on a multitude of tasks, obligations, responsibilities and emotional strains each day. But how many of these are actually necessary for us to take on? Could there possibly be a problem with the way that we are looking at and approaching life?
It seems to be human nature to be addicted to chaos. Perhaps we were trained that way or raised in that environment and that is all we learned to know. Since it is so prevalent to have a life filled with chaos or drama, many are drawn to such a lifestyle simply because of how familiar they are with this lifestyle.
One of the reasons that people who were raised in an abusive home will end up finding an abusive mate to marry is because of the fact that this sort of person and life is very familiar to them. Most people have no idea that they are doing it, but it is just a feeling that they think is a good feeling. It is a sort of comfort or even a sort of excitement that is derived from that which is different, yet is exactly what they know.
There are ways to reduce the drama in your life. It will take a great deal of honesty with oneself though and definite behavioral changes. If you are serious about wanting a more peaceful life, you will stop and consider these things. The benefits can be tremendous.
The article linked at the top of this article gives a few things to think about when attempting to reduce the drama in one's life, or maybe even getting rid of it altogether.
Consider too that a lot of drama comes from not taking care of the things in life that we need to take care of at the moment that we need to take care of them. A lack of proactivity lends to a drama-filled life where one is always experiencing the dropping of the other shoe. This relates to our relationships with others, with legal matters and financial matters, with work issues and family issues. Putting off until tomorrow what you can get away with not doing today is definitely one of the root causes for a life with a whole lot of drama. It's a snowball or a domino effect.
Take some time to decide what kind of life you really want to live.
