Benidorm has been a favourite amongst holiday makers since the 1960s. Situated on the Western Mediterranean, this Valencian city has grown and developed with visitors in mind. Protected by the mountains, Benidorm has a temperate climate varying between 15 and 32 degrees centigrade. Hotels in Benidorm suit every kind of budget. If you’re looking for Benidorm hotels that will keep you in the lap of luxury with private balconies, Jacuzzis, and spa treatments on call, they’re here. You’ll find hotels in Benidorm to cater for your every whim. On the other hand if you’re backpacking your way around Europe on a shoestring, there are basic hotels in Benidorm to suit your needs too. Take your time to look through the available Benidorm hotels for your time period and choose the one that offers you the most for the budget you have available.

If you’re travelling in a group, perhaps as an extended family or having a holiday with all your mates, then renting a Benidorm apartment will probably give you better value for money. You’ll have to make your own breakfast, and you may have to pay a surcharge for cleaning at the end of your holiday, but at least room service won’t be waking you up to make the bed 3 hours after you got into it!

Despite being a long-established tourist destination Benidorm has managed to stay relatively unspoilt. The city is lively so if you want tranquillity this isn’t the ideal place for you. On the other hand if you want sun, sea and sightseeing, Benidorm is a great choice. On the days when the beach seems too much, or you want to take some photos that you can show your parents, there are some stunning natural features you can explore such as can be found in Altrea. The waterfalls there are breathtaking. Other sightseeing opportunities in the same area are the Algar Cactus Co and the Railway Mining tour. About 40km from Benidorm you’ll find another of the area’s top natural tourist attractions; the Caves of Canelobre.

There are theme parks in Benidorm which are great for the young, and the young at heart alike! Terra Micha and Terra Natura offer two very different experiences. The first, Terra Micha, is more in the style of Alton Towers and offers a number of rollercoaster rides (including the longest wooden one in Europe), as well as many rides for those who like to have a less thrill seeking time. Terra Natura on the other hand is more of a zoo – but the animals are not caged, but rather kept in natural habitats. A way to cool off and enjoy a theme park is Aqualandia which is a water park with over 20 rides to suit all kinds of abilities and preferences.

Nightlife is an integral part of a holiday for many people, and Benidorm has much to offer in this regard. It’s a party destination where you’ll find top DJs from around the world playing sets next to popular time-honoured familiar favourites. If night clubbing isn’t your scene, even the local bars are known for their entertainment.

With a great range of things to do, places to stay, and of course the warm climate, Benidorm is still a good choice for your next holiday abroad.
