Taking Care Of The Skin
65The skin is one of the most neglected part of the body. Most of the time, taking care of the skin is a person's last priority yet the skin if the first part of our body that other can see. It's not hard to take care of the skin. It only becomes hard when it has already been neglected.
The Body
It's easy to take care of the skin on the body. Make sure to wash it everyday with a soft body wash or an alcohol-free soap to get rid of all the dirt and bacteria that it has been exposed to the whole day and may have stuck to the skin. Exfoliate at least twice a week with a body scrub and a loofah.
After a shower or bath, apply moisturizer or lotion all over the body to hydrate the skin. During the summer months (and every month, actually), apply sunblock to the skin to protect it from the UV rays of the sun.
Feet
Whenever taking a shower, use a foot scrub to roughly rub off the dry and dead skin on the soles of the feet. Do not use a metal foot scrub that scrapes away the dead skin as it peels off skin that shouldn't be removed, damaging the skin. Apply lotion to the feet every night after cleaning it and wrap it in socks overnight to make it easier to scrub off.
Face
Clean the face twice everyday by using an alcohol-free facial wash. Use a toner afterwards to thoroughly clean the face. Don't forget to also clean the neck.
If acne is present, schedule a facial for at least every two weeks to remove blackheads, whiteheads and other acne by a certified professional. Stop touching and picking on acne when it appears as this will only make the situation worse. Let the professionals handle it.
Don't abuse your body because the first part of the body to elicit negative effects of stress and abuse is the skin. And lastly, don't forget to drink lots and lots of water everyday to hydate the skin. Water softens the skin and gets rid of toxins that harm the body, including the skin.

Well... I disagree with the very first line of your hub. We can say that parts of skin like feet etc. are ignored but not really nowadays. People have become really conscious about skin. I hardly see people ignornat to skin. Your article is no doubt an awesome share and full of info but most people are not ignornat anymore.
@guidebaba: thanks!
@chillingbreeze:That's good, that people are now more aware of their body. It used to be that when people take care of their skin, other people think of them as vain.
But it has changed in present times. And skin care companies are becoming aware of that, what with the emergence of SO MANY beauty product lines in store.
Thanks for the comment!
