Talambuhay ni Andres Bonifacio

ANDRES BONIFACIO

Andres Bonifacio was born on November 30, 1863 in a shack in Tondo, Manila. His parents are Santiago Bonificio and Catalina de Castro. He started his early education in the school of Guillermo Osmeña of Cebu. He reach only primary school, he was orphaned at the age 14, forcing him to quit his studies.

He supplemented his low education through reading and self study. Among the few books he read were Rizal's novels, the lives of presidents, Victor Hugo's Les Miserables, the ruins of Palmyra and French Revolution. Those books prodded his spirit of rebellion and organize the Katipunan. This organization spread rapidly in 1894/ Feeling that he was about ready to lead a successful revolt in May 1896. Before he could act however.

The Katipunan was discovered by the authorities, more than 1,000 Katipuneros assembled with him at Pugad Lawin,Caloocan, on August 23, 1896. Bonifacio and his men ill, equipped, tired, hungry and with little aid face3d their enemies and encountered undertain victories and severe defeats. Amn assembly was called at Tejeros, Cavite. In the election Aquinaldo was elected president, Mariano Trias, vice President and Bonifacio as secretary was offended and revoking his authority as the supreme head of the Katipunan, declared the proceedings void. Bonifacio moved to Naic, Cavite and started to form his own government. Meantime General Camilo de Polavia threatened to capture Cavite. Aguinaldo ordered Gen. Pio del Pilar and Noriel who were being given new higher positionsto leavetheBonifacio camp and goback to their duties.

Aguinaldo sent men to arrest Bonifacio. He face trialfor actinimical to the existence of the new government and was given the death sentence by a military tribunal. Aguinaldo's men executed him in the mountain of Maragondon, Cavite on May 10, 1897.

Si Andres Bonifacio ay isinilang noong Nobyembre 30, 1863 sa maliit na dampa sa Tondo, Maynila. Ang kanyang mga magulang ay sina Santiago BonifacioatCatalina de Castro. Siya ay naulilala sa edad na 14 at nahinto sa pag-aaral.

Sa pagpapalawak ngkanyang mababang pinag-aralan, siya ay nagsariling sikap sa pagbabasa at pag-aaral. Ang ilan sa mga librong kanyang binabasa ay ang mga nobela ni Jose Rizal. Mga tungkol sa buhay ng mga president, ang Les Miserables ni Victor Hugo, ang Ruins of Palmyra at ang librong tungkol sa Rebolusyonng Fransiya. Ang mga librong ito ang nag-udyok sa kanya sa pagrerebelde at pag-oorganisa ng Katipunan. Ang organisasyon na ito ang ay mabilis na kumalat noong 1894.

Sa paaaklas niya na handa na siyang mamuno sa isang mataumpay na rebolusyon noong Mayo 1896, tinipon niya ang 1,000 Katipuneros. Dahil sa kakulangan at makalumang sandata, sa pagod at gutom sila ay palaging nagagapi ng mga kalaban. Dahil dito isang pagpupulong ang ginanap sa sa Tejeros, Cavite.

Nagkaroon ng eleksyon at si Aguinaldoang nanalong presidente si Mariano Trias naman sa pagka bise presidente at si Bonifacio sa sa pagka-sekretaryo. Sa pagkadismaya niya, ginamit niya ang kanyang pag-supremo para mawalang bisa ang eleksyon. Lumipat siya sa Naic, Cvite at nagsimulang magtao ng sariling gobyerno. Sa pagkakataong ito, nagbantya si Heneral Camilo de Polavia na sasakupin ang Cavite kaya binigyan ni Aguinaldo ng bagong matataas na position sina Heneral pio del Pilar at Noriel para iwanan nila ang Kampo ni Bonifacio at makabalik sa kanilang mga tungkulin.

Pagkaraa'y pinadakip niya si Bonifacio at nilitis sa kasong ayaw kilalanin ang bagong gobyerno, at sila at nahatulan ng kamatayan. Siya at pinaslang sa bundok ng Maragondon, Cavite noong Mayo 10, 1987
