Do you have talent? Are you considering becoming a model or an actor? If you have both of these things going for you, you just might be able to make it in two of the toughest industries in the United States.

If you think youi have what it takes then what is the next step?

  • Calling Directors?
  • Trying To Get Auditions?
  • Professional Networking?
  • More Training?
  • Finding Small Gigs Like Plays?

None of those are your best next move. The number one thing that will help you get to where you want to be is finding a good talent management agent or agency to represent you. An agent or agency will be a good place to start because they can and will help you begin to accomplish that list that is above this paragraph.

Why do talent management agents look for people like you? Well, one, they probably love to coach and train new individuals trying to enter the modeling or acting industry. Second, there is a lot of money in the industry. They make money if you make money, so it is a win win situation for both of you.

How might you go about finding a good agency to partner with? First off, you are probably not going to be represented by the agents of Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, or any other household name. It's just not going to happen, so forget about it. There are a lot of companies that have offices all around the company so you won't have to travel very far. What you need to do is send these companies letters of intent with your resume and head shots in it. They will then call you to schedule an appointment to meet with you, or you will need to follow up within a week with a phone call to the office.

Once you secure a talent agent, your life will get much easier! They are honestly the one thing that will set you apart from your competition. If you have talent and a good agent, you can become the actor or model that you dream of.

Different talent management agencies that are a good choice for beginners are Tru Talent Management, Level Model and Talent Management, Knightstar Talent Management, and many others.
