Dog may be "...man's best friend" , but the cat, (Felus catus), reigns the champ of popularity to us animal lovers world-wide.The cat displays perfection in many things; rarely falling without landing on it's paws or accurate in it's claw swipes. With it's flawless mechanics and stealth style it is one wild, cool, and at times, moody companion. With your smaller furball friend you may want to train it, at a preferably younger age rather than older. You can't really teach an older cat new tricks either, and coaching your feline can be as hard disciplining a child if the cat is from a breed naturally more energetic in the species.

A week ago, I'm writing blogs and answering emails, additionally sending posts to my FaceBook friends and family of the most interesting and insightful writes I found for the evening, when out of nowhere- Pepe!The wild puss-jungle miniature, sinks his claws into my back. I was so mad and cursed a few times, rose from the recliner, left the monitor glowing to an empty seat and fetched a small spray bottle from the kitchen counter. A little plastic spray bottle with just plain h2o filled to the brim including a setting for spray mist which was preset. The very sound of me showing it as I walk into the room usually gets the point across. It's not being mean, it's a part of training. Cat training techniques make your life easier, and helps keep him out of trouble in the long run.

A few tips to know is always be loving in anything you do. Never abandon your pet. There's much more responsible options than letting them go in the wild. If your loving and caring enough to keep him, you can try to get a kitten. If you don't cats learn the most in the morning and evening -the hours they are mostly active. They aren't students putting faith in a syllabic or robots; so while your training them do the natural, petting, holding, keeping them warm, you are also training it. Acting like your it's mom by letting them smell you and in a weird way taste you when they lick your hand. Every time you pet your cat, he is reminded of who picks up the tab and pays the cat box bills. A simple self-executive procedure you don't have to work to do. Just be loving.

For litter box procedure, if your cat is missing the mark or not burying his stinky trademark you can bring it back the box when it's done and show it what it failed to accomplish the first time. Be patient as most learning comes with repetition, and your feline, although smarter than you think, is no exception.

To stay off the tables and away from the dinner time circle, stock his food bowl well, yet don't overfeed. Obese cats equal unhealthy cats. Buy a little resealable zip-lock bag of Hartz Treats Tartar Control if your pet has no allergies or checked for the normal safety clearance by your veterinarian for those times it has an extra craving.These can also be used as rewards if they behave. If your going to allow your cat outside, you can pick up a flea collar for 3 or 4 bucks. It will make him or her happily attentive to listen and act accordingly.

There's a bit of argument over whether egg yolks are good every now and then for your cat. The answer is, Yes and No.

How often does the cat exercise or remain active?

If it's a large lazy cat it might add weight. If it's going outside regularly and runs alot, it's good for the cats fur coat and very nutritious. Be careful with eggs as fair as feeding it from premixed batters or dressings. They can't have alot of fat, it will result in a messier litter box and actually a worm risk.

Sad News - Pepe' Bless Your Feline Soul...

One of my best friends in life, a cuddling feline named Pepe, died early this evening from what we believed to be a hit and run incident. I was leaving work and got the phone text and drove home quietly with no music on; it was just the song of silence and numbing emotional pain bracing myself more than I held the steering wheel, readying my gritty mindset to see the cat-body of my close domestic roommate resting at peace in a shoebox on the back porch table. Me and my sons buried him together. I comforted them and showed them I was strong by keeping it together. Something hard to do when you love something, or, someone. A great friend that would no longer rest at our feet at night, nor lay on all of our backs or sides watching tv, or playing play station or X-box. 

There is a heaven for our pets. Anyone who says there isn't failed to study the 7th heaven.

Believe that. That great harmony of the news is real.

Bless your little kitty soul, I'll see you one day.
