The bulbs in a tanning bed need to be changed more frequently than the other parts. With so much use, they tend to burn out quickly. The cords and plugs are important to keep track of for safety. Acrylics need to be replace after 1000 hours of use. The acrylic sheet life can be extended by cleaning it with care. There are electronic ballasts, for the tanning bed. The bed wraps come in different sizes to fit the tanning bed. When dealing with buck boosters, it is important to use the correct voltage. The unit should not be run above 230VAC because the components may be damaged, and the life of the lamps could be shortened. The different size buck boosters have different amps associated with them.

There are fan capacitors, capacitors and of course, fans. Fans are necessary to keep down the dust buildup. The buildup alone can lose 20% of the tanning power of the bed. A hydro-lift spring can be better than a standard gas spring in that it assists in the opening. The spring should not be lubricated. As long as the spring is used occasionally, it will maintain lubrication. The tanning room temperature affects the spring pressure. In a low temperature, it will reduce the force and the high temperature will increase it.

As in other types of machines or equipment, there are other necessary tanning bed parts. These includes, nuts, bolts, washers, hinges, screws, terminals, handles, straps and latches, just to name a few. Also, necessary for proper operation, other tanning bed parts include on/off switches, or push-button switches. Fuses with sensors are also needed. Not exactly part of the tanning bed itself, other products are just as important. The right pillows are necessary for comfort. Proper eyewear and body stickers are needed. There are also many sanitizers to keep the bed disinfected and clean to meet the state regulations. For appearance, there are also paint touch-up products to have on hand.
