Soup Review

This is a tantalizingly delicious soup that your taste buds will love! This is an easy soup to make with little preparation time, and it cooks in the crock-pot giving you the convenience of not having to stand over a hot stove. A great light summer dishes for those hot summer days when you do not want to stand over a stove or heat-up the house by cooking. It is all year round dishe light and hearty for the summer and warm and comforting for those cool autumn days, and cold winter nights. Best of all it is a new twist on a classic soup that will delight your taste buds!

Ingredients

2 - 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts

garlic salt

onion salt

black pepper

4 cans of chicken broth

2 - 3 tablespoons of cajun seasoning

16 ounces of pasta - small shells


Cooking Directions

Place the chicken breast into crock pot. Turn crock pot to high heat. Cook 30 minutes than flip meet over and seasoning lightly with garlic salt, onion salt, and black pepper. After 30 minutes, flip again and season the other side of the meat. Using cooking scissors cut chicken into bite size chunks of meat.

Pour chicken broth into the crock-pot over the chicken. Add the cajun seasoning and stir the chicken and broth together. Let simmer for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Check the flavoring of the broth you may want to add a little more cajun seasoning to the broth (if desired).

Boil 4 quarts of water in medium saucepan. Add a tablespoon of oil and teaspoon of salt to the water. Add pasta. Return pasta to a boil and cook approximately 8 minutes until the shells are tender (do not overcook pasta it will continue to soften once you add it to the crock-pot). Drain pasta. Spoon pasta carefully into the crock-pot. Mix the chicken, broth, and pasta together. Let simmer in the crock-pot about another 10 - 15 minutes and serve.

Makes approximately 6 quarts of tantalizing mouthwatering cajun chicken noodle soup!
