Tarot Cards - The Truth in Tarot
58My Constant Quest ....
As you know from reading my hubpages, I am on a constant quest to find a niche. Something that I enjoy doing... that will actually make me a little money. One of the places I look for ideas in eBay.
The great thing about ebay is that it's a huge market place... and the other is... you can actually search by "completed" items. That means, you an check to see what things sold, how much they sold for... to get an idea of the current value of your product.
Last month I ventured into my local Micheals Craft Store and their semi precious beads were all 1/2 price... I bought a ton of them... then decided to check out eBay to see what type of product would be best to create.
Surprisingly.... the "haunted" jewelry was selling for ridiculous prices!

Well, I certainly didn't think I could make something that was haunted... and I'm not sure that I'd want to own something that is haunted... and frankly... most of the listings that promoted haunted jewelry.. well, they looked like someone with photoshop had altered the image to appear glowing or moving or something other than the inexpensive piece of costume jewelry that it was.
Having said all that... i became intrigued...
Next on the line of silly things... were the potions and spells.
I guess I'm a little too old fashion to believe that a love potion is going to do it for me... however, I will agree that the combination of several essential oils may smell nice and put me in a good mood... but love potion? a spell?
OK, I'm not writing this to diss anyone, be you worlock or wiccan... that's just not my cup of tea.

The Truth in Tarot
On and on I ventured.. honestly, I'm really not sure what to think about psychics. But I believe... the truth about tarot is also the truth about seeking any assistance or encouragement from anyone.
So... on to Tarot.
Again, let me say, I am very old fashioned... Not 18th century old fashioned... but well, pretty conservative... and what I found with Tarot cards is... it's a team effort... Mostly the person reading the cards has to be good... but as the person requesting the service... you have to give a little too.
Imagine going to the doctor and saying, "cure me"... and when the doctor says, "well what's wrong with you?" you reply, "you're the doctor, you tell me" We don't do that in science... so why would we expect the psychic or tarot reader to "know" without us telling them. So, your job as part of the team is to help the tarot reader... help you.
If you are a skeptic, like me... you would want them to tell you something first.. to prove that they "know"... and I understand that... and sometimes they can, or sometimes it seems generic, because you are human and part of the human condition...
I have to go back to the analogy of the physcian. If you were unwilling to tell the doctor what is wrong, or what is troubling you, or what your question is... how on earth will he be able to give you specific answers.
So, in my opinion, the truth about Tarot is... teamwork. Yes, some psychics or mediums are very good or perhaps your question or situation is very strong and they get it without you helping... but sometimes... just sometimes... they need a little direction.
