Ask Susan Peters Dog Food Review:

This flavor of Taste of the Wild Dog Food did not rate as well as some of the other flavors of Taste of the Wild Dog Food. I question why Taste of the Wild Dog Food has to flavor their Roasted Wild Fowl formula with chicken fat.

Hi Susan,

I was searching for what people feed their animals in the west.

Pet food in India is a very recent entrant. 99% of the animals get fresh food i.e. dalia (cracked wheat cooked with milk) in the morning, or milk , chicken, goat, buffalo meat (which is a lot cheaper than goat and chicken) , the rest of the day.

With the economy opening up and the sudden influx of foreign brands, pedigree, whiskas etc are taking over. I never ever feed my cats and dogs any packaged, processed products as i feel it's like eating junk food everyday. Once a week, as a treat they are given a little bit of the niblets and tinned food.

But By and large the animals eat what we eat and remain totally healthy, they get a diet of vegetables, rotis (that's fresh bread made with unrefined flour and bran) dal (lentils) and rice. The pet food advertising comes across as the only thing one should be feeding ones animals. Does everyone in the west only feed their animals pet food or is normal food also given??
