Forget the Calories, Spoil Yourself on Occasion!

Sometimes I just have to tell my mom, “I think I look fine, but I want to have some real food, forget the SALAD!” This is one of my favourite comfort foods so I thought I would share it with you all as I am going through trying times and have decided to do some baking. I hope you enjoy these biscuit recipes as I do.

Tasty Biscuit’s

2 cups bread flour

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon salt

Sift all dry items twice (creates the light fluffy feel to your biscuits).

Blend in

2 tablespoons shortening

Slowly stir in 3/4 cup sour milk

Pre-heat your oven at 450 degrees.

Mix dough until it is no longer sticky, or sticking. On your counter-top or a board roll it out until about 1/ 2 half inch thick. Use your favourite cookie cutter for your desired shapes (I like hearts and stars). Put you’re freshly cut out biscuit shapes into a greased pan and bake ten to fifteen minutes at 450 degrees F. Cool and serve with beverage of your choice (tea is the best in my books).
