Tattoo designs for girls

Tattoo designs for women is a prevalent and growingculture amongst mainstream society. I personally find girls with tattoos attractive and if well placed, can turn me on intensely. Since the beginning, humans of different tribes and cultures have used tattoos and their various designs as symbols of their roles and statuses within the community. If one is planning to get a tattoo and is considering a particular tattoo design, it is worth understandingthe impact and significant artistic and social elements before getting that dreamed about tattoo which could both beautify your life, or prevent it's full potential.

Fun and Unique

It is undeniable that once you get a tattoo, how people look at you and their impressions of you would definitely change; for better or for worse. I remember getting my first tattoo, it was a small one and it wasn't elaborate or anything, just something near my left shoulder. Like yourself, before I considered getting a tattoo I had a few concerns, namely:

  • I heard that it bleeds, does it hurt alot? (aka will i die from it?)
  • What tattoo design should i consider? (what image do i want to project?)
  • Am i male or female? (actually i was already 100% certain i was male but i wanted to make sure my tattoo reflected correctly)
  • Where can i get a lot of tattoo designs for me to browse?
  • Where can i get reliable opinions? (artists who can draw better-than-stickman figures)
  • Can i customise my tattoo designs?

And after considering for a short period of time, I got my answer and up till today, I have no regrets on the tattoo I got. In fact, I am so proud of it, it has unabashedly increased my self-confidence. And it can for you too. Having been around people with tattoos and piercings or other self-modifications, one fact remains persistent. The fact that such growing and pervasive trends that have spawned ever since neolithic times can provide people with that much needed sense of artistic expression, image projection, spirituality and sense of identity.

However, despite all of these benefits, I have to admit that one of the main concerns I had when considering getting a tattoo design was where and how to get one that would definitely reflect my personality. I wanted to make a statement, I wanted it to show people who I really was, and I wanted it to have a strong significant tie to all of my favourite interests such as math, physics, arts and philosophy to be specific. I even considered tattoo-ing the design of a mandelbrot (a kind of fractal that's both mathematical and artistic) but finally considered against it as it looked kind of like a skin disease in the end.

Female Tattoos

For girls, a tattoo design can be slightly more tricky but it actually has more applicable use to you than you think! Some relevant applications for girls include:

  • Cosmetic permanent tattooing of eyebrows
  • Facial enhancement of features and contours
  • Cute designs to reflect youth and vitality
  • Sexually charged tattoos to turn guys on
  • Artsy tattoos giving you a more distinct fashion flare

These are the new trends and slowly but surely, the stigma of individuals with bold and impressionistic tattoo designs even for girls is decreasing. Guys and their tattoos on the other hand have totally different symbolic significances such as intrinsic territorial or group symbolism. These are prevalent in many countries especially where the sub-culture of groupies or simply good friends who want to have a certain bond exist. A large population of illicit gangs also use tattoos commonly and they are the main contributing factor to the narrow-minded stigmatic approach to tattoo designers and skin canvasing.

Couples also commonly get tattoos that include their spouse's initials or even an entire portrait of their spouse that binds them in a certain chronological and spiritual unity, a commitment and a belief in ever-lasting love. In essence, tattoos alone are meaningless and a waste of time if one does not correlate them to something significant.

But more importantly, this article focuses on females who are considering getting a beautiful tattoo and those curious enough to read on. It highlights the issues facing women who are considering getting a tattoo and guides them into making an informed choice. Most girls i know want tattoos that are either cute or sexy. These tattoos actually do not come in abundance contrary to belief. If you've ever been to tattoo parlours and ask for their designs you will realise that to filter out really cute and sexy tattoo designs that you will ink on yourself for life are hard to come by. Some parlours have untalented artist who do not complete a neat and professional job by any account.

Instead of getting a good design for your tattoo, you will get an excellent scar for your whole life. Ladies, you might want to be careful there.

That is why in this article,I stress the importance of an informed choice of tattoo design and tattoo parlour professionalism. The rule of thumb is, be sure to find a tattoo that relates to the core of your intentions, whether it be for love, friendship or expression, make sure it is an honest and heart-felt representation. Here are some tips you can use to aid you:

  • Get a good tattoo design after browsing through a good and reputable collection
  • Choose the location of your tattoo wisely, do you want it seen?
  • Colors are the window to every paintings soul, choose your colors wisely
  • If you have a strong compulsion to burst into a parlour and get one, hide it somewhere good like behind your ears or where the sunlight doesn't reach
  • Hips, back and neck work well for sexy, shoulders and palm for cute
  • Avoid breasts if you can (health concerns and I kinda like boobs clean)

Good design sites that allow the contribution and browsing of tattoo designs include, Chopper Tattoo & Tattoo me now. These 2 are great outlets for informed and artistic expressions. Risks

However, you must remember that every tattoo comes with risks, and I'm going to list a few now. I will keep this brief and easy to understand. These are some risks in point form:

  • Allergy to oxides (titanium oxide, iron oxide)
  • Poor studio hygiene (contaminated inks, needles)
  • Neglegant after-care of tattoos can lead to skin problems
  • Infections (hepatitis, tuberculosis, staph infections)
  • Religious self-modification sentiments
  • Difficulty in finding jobs that require a personal relations element
  • Regret and trauma from un-informed choice (lack browsing)

Most people who get tattoos don't suffer from these except the last three points which are more social and humanistic in nature. But generally speaking, if you take necessary precautions and do your research on the tattoo design that would satisfy you or your spouse/friends, you are guaranteed an increased self-esteem and a special sense of belonging with your personal tattoo.
