Introduction to Tea Diets

You might be surprised by how many tea diets exist out there. There are several diets based entirely around tea in some way, shape, or form, and there's no argument at this point that tea has some amazing weight loss properties. Green tea and black tea have both been proven time and time again in laboratory testing to have some amazing effects that help out weight loss and fat burning.  From boosting metabolism to flooding the body of antioxidants, tea would be an amazing drink without all the extra benefits like lowering bad cholesterol, giving an energy boost from natural caffeine, and aiding the body in fat burning.  Tea might be the healthiest drink in existence, so it's no wonder that there are actually many different diets that are all based around the extra health and weight loss properties that come from nearly all types of tea.  This hub is designed to go over all of these amazing diets and to bring to light the full effectiveness tea can have in losing weight and burning fat while contributing to an overall healthy lifestyle.

Green Tea Weight Loss Benefits

There are many great weight loss benefits to green tea.  The two main weight loss benefits of green tea are obvious.  Not only does green tea help aid the body in burning fat, creating an additional bonus to anyone on a diet, but those bonuses are in further addition to the increased metabolism that people drinking a lot of green tea will experience.  This combination is fantastic.  Not only does your metabolism increase (which will automatically result in more calories being burned), but by accelerating fat loss all the weight loss is focused on fat burning, which is what most dieters really want.

Green tea can be a dieter's best friend.  Tea has no calories, can be very filling, and in addition to the obvious dieting benefits, there are also an incredible amount of antioxidants in green tea that will help to cleanse your system out.  The healthier your organs are and the better they work, the more efficiently your body will be able to burn the calories that you eat normally.

While all tea have some positive health benefits, green tea might be the best of them all.

Black Tea Weight Loss Benefits

Black tea has incredible weight loss benefits, as well.  Black tea can work just as well as green tea in assisting dieters.  True black tea won't have any calories, which is a definite plus to dieters since you won't gain any liquid calories (the easiest way to torpedo a diet).  Basically there isn't a whole lot of difference between green tea and black tea.  The weight loss benefits for black tea are virtually identical to those in green tea.  The biggest difference is that black tea is a little more processed than green tea so black tea has less antioxidants than green tea does, but otherwise the two are virtually identical in their weight loss properties.

The Ultimate Tea Diet

The ultimate tea diet is a weight loss plan that offers an excellent long term eating plan and lifestyle plan that can help almost any dieter lose unhealthy weight and improve their lives.  This diet was originally put forward by Mark Ukra, and is an eating plan that emphasizes healthy eating supplemented by drinking tea at every meal, as well as by having as much tea as you want, whenever you want.  The positive weight loss effects of both green and black tea help to speed up the metabolism and boost the body's fat burning.  Add in the overall healthy effect that comes form antioxidants - which fight everything from the flu to cancer, and you're set up for an eating plan that is healthy, safe, and almost certain to help you lose weight as you are taught new and better eating habits.

How to Make Kombucha Tea Video

Kombucha Tea Diet

Kombucha tea is a little more controversial because while it is a tea brew, the Kombucha itself is not an actual tea, although the culture is added to tea in order to make the final product. This is a folk medicine from China that has been used for literally thousands of years, but it is also the point on controversy somewhat, as well.  While there are tons of health benefits that supporters of Kombucha tea quote, these have not been fully verified in lab tests on human subjects the way the benefits of black and green tea have.  Kombucha is also a live bacterial culture that looks like a mushroom (although it's not) which is why this is sometimes called "Kombucha Mushroom Tea."  There are many proponents of this type of tea blend, but there are many others who don't see the point when green and black tea work so well.  For more information, feel free to look at my Kombucha tea guide here on HubPages.

Oolong Tea Weight Loss

Oolong tea has recently become a big hit among dieters looking for another way to help slim down and live a healthier lifestyle.  Most consumers in the United States have probably heard this referred to as "Wu Long Slimming Tea."  Wu Long is technically a correct name, but the far majority of people find Oolong to be the proper term and it is most commonly used.  As for the Oolong tea weight loss benefits, here's a brief overview of some critical information.

Oolong tea is tea that is slightly fermented before being processed.  This happens naturally as the tea leaves are set out to wilt a little, then pounded to expose the tea "juices" to the sun, then processed.  In the case of Oolong tea, there are often Jasmine flowers mixed in during the process to create a very pleasant aroma.  Oolong tea will have the same positive weight loss effects that you see from green tea or fat tea in that it does aid in fat burning and boosting the metabolism - but don't buy any claims that it's a super rare tea that has twice the potency of other weight loss teas - because it's not rare, and it doesn't have twice the effect.

But Oolong tea still has the ability to help a person lose weight just like any other tea.

Wu-Yi Tea Weight Loss

Wu-Yi Tea has become one of the most popular forms of weight loss tea, but there are some caveats that have to come along with this product.  As a simple yes or no, can Wu-Yi Tea help you lose weight?  Yes, it can.  The Wu-Yi Tea that is being sold for sale is basically an oolong tea, and oolong tea has all the same health benefits of green or black tea.  This means these drinks can help you boost your metabolism, encourage your body's process of burning fat, and give you the positive effects of antioxidants to make you healthier all around.  In addition to this, tea is a no calorie drink which almost always makes it a better replacement to whatever you were drinking at the time.

That said, there are several common misconceptions about Wu-Yi weight loss tea.  First of all, don't buy it if it's ridiculously expensive.  There is no "rare" Wu-Yi tea.  Tea all comes from the same plant, what makes it different is how it is processed.  There's no reason to pay a ridiculously high price for this particular type of drink when you can go to Amazon.com and buy Wu Yi Tea for an actual reasonable price.

That said, this tea does have health and weight loss benefits, but like the other teas it should be used in conjunction with diet and exercise.  Don't expect a silver bullet.

Tea Diets Page in Conclusion

As more and more diet plans are released based around using the amazing weight loss powers of tea, more material is going to be added to this hub.  Whether it's diet teas, or tea diet, everyone is looking for the same thing, and tea is one of the most incredible drinks that has ever been discovered.  Many people would be amazed how switching out 3-4 drinks (juice, soda, alcohol, whatever) with 3-4 glasses of green or black tea would be enough to really get the weight loss going.  Wherever you are at with your efforts to lose more weight, just remember that tea is your friend, and a longer and healthier life will be your reward.

Nice info, although, I believe read somewhere that black tea is inferior to true green tea simply because of the dark cloud it produces. I have to find it or maybe you can add something on that
