April 15th Is looming and as I am sure we are all aware that Is the deadline to send our taxes . Mine have already been filed ,and my return should net me a smoothie at the local Jamba Juice so I am stoked ! Also In case you were not aware on this day there will also be a host of up to 2000 tea parties held across the USA by roughly 2900 citizen organizers .

Now I myself am not a big tea drinker . I mainline Folgers mostly and It has been one of my four basic food groups for roughly 30 years . Black no sugar . I like the amperage !

Now the local one Is going to be held In Oceanside roughly 35 miles north of me . And unfortunately I will not be able to attend . I have to show up for work and I feel safe In saying that they could give a $% ck about my political leanings or belief systems . However I will be there to support them In spirit . I like activism , I like discord . I believe that Is healthy for a supossed democracy . Now I realize that just by saying these things , I have probably been flagged by some computer at National Security as a possible terrorist , or taliban sympathizer or something lame like that . So If you guys wanna come by and visit please do so one of two things will happen you will either be bored out of your skull at the mundane routine of my daily life or just plain annoyed with me like some of the other people In my life . What can I say ? I have a gift for annoying people !

Now this Is not getting alot of coverage by the mainstream press because after all Somali Pirates and Lindsay Lohan are far more relevant news Items . Now If you have ever had to endure the LATimes or the NYTimes like I do , you will see the obvious disdain for these tea parties and anybody who even leans a little right . I mean I had to endure a alleged journalist named Paul Krugman from the New York Times and his lame editorial this morning without throwing up . Because he believes that these citizens who are probably average working people like you and me are nothing more than Idiots and assorted loons .

He seems to believe that this Is strictly about taxes and that Is what I call shortsighted . Paul let me enlighten you . This Is about far more then taxes . This Is about taxpaying citizens of this country of ours who are fed up with paying taxes yet having absolutely no voice In how this country Is run . This Is about people who are fed up with the ever Increasing size of Government and even though It gets larger It also exponentially gets far more Incompetent .

This Is about people who feel that their Constitutional right to bear arms Is being Infringed daily and you give them the finger In spite of their anger . And this all started with George W who Is the best thing that ever happened to Democrats . This Is about parents who are frustrated because they want to homeschool and are mandated to keep their kid In a public school where they fall behind In math and science and are taught that If they believe In god or want to pray It Is a bad thing and where somehow the Pledge of Allegaince Is under Indictment ! To you teachers I ask what the hell are you doin ? From where I sit these kids are comin out dumber then dirt these days . Our Education system Is one of our biggest toxic assets ! Homeschool away all you parents !

This Is about morality getting thrown out the window and substituted for legalese doubletalk . Like Gay Marriage for example . Yes that too . I believe In equal rights ,but lets face It ,Marriage Is reserved for one man and one woman and that Is the way It Is ! All the legal doubletalk and court decisions you throw down will not change that fact !

This Is why people are having tea parties Paul . We are right back where we started In the Inception of this great nation " Taxation without Representation " . Mandates are given to us by our alleged leaders and most of us do not agree with them but we have to suck It up and take It . And then on top of that Banks and Wall Street get Trillions and the small business owner and you and I gotta suck It up ! This Is why I support these tea parties ,because I get the distinct feeling this Is just the beginning . I hate to paint such a grim picture ,most of you familiar with me know my sense of humor Is usually Intact . However we live In some serious times and we need some serious dialogue , because at the end of the day this Is not about the Government this Is about you and I . Unfortunately the next step might look like Thailand .

To reiterate though this Is a good thing for democracy . Because no matter what your political leaning , I like that you can say what you have to say . And I may not like what you have to say but I will defend your right to say It ! If I do make It up to Oceanside for the tea party all I gotta say Is I am not havin tea and crumpets , I wanna donut and black coffee ,no sugar !
