"Oh no," I scream as my child wakes me up in the morning saying she is ready for school. Her little eyes twinkling and the smile that was on her face was absolutly something I can wake up to every morning. As she smiled and stated " look at me mommy do I look cute." I could not scream at her for putting the lipstick on she just wanted to impress her friends. I said sweetheart we defiantly need to practice putting make up on and you are kind of young to be wearing it to school. I woke up and walked with her to the restroom to helped her wash her pretty little face. I retrieved my make up box and said lets sit down for a minute to see what we can do. As me and my daughter sit down upon the couch to look at the different kinds of makeup I was trying to tell her a little about each thing. I said sweetheart tonight when you come home from school we will have a girls night and I will teach you how to put makeup on. On this special morning, I let my daughter apply a really light pink lipstick that we found in my box, so she could surprise her friends. The twinkle that developed in her eyes was something that I could live with forever my little baby was growing up. Later that night, my daughter came home ecstatic about having a girls night with her mommy. We actually had a lot of fun! We settled down on the couch to watch a movie together and then it was time to start teaching her how to apply makeup. I also taught her how to remove the makeup when it was just a little to bright.
