Ted Cantu - Leader of Corporate Web 2.0

Ah yes, the long distant past. It brings up the corporate image of long hours, thankless work and the incomprehensible schedules that centered around the old Macromedia software. I am talking about the large opus-like projects that had little or no point.

In Chicago, long before I heard of Seth Godin, I was obsessed with the American dollar and clueless how to obtain one in the web world. You see, our search engines that we have today did not exist in their current form. Our very first search engines were actually things that exist in outdoor advertising -- the Chicago bus, the subways, billboards. You can say the first the Chicago Transit Authority was our very first search engines.... its laughable but true.

Now, in this age of Post-Macromedia, (it is now owned by Adobe) and Post Dot Com, (those companies went belly up for the most part) we have to rely on what is real. We have to rely on realistic things in our realistic world. Sounds scary? IT IS !!

I learned in an arena where there were blood on the ropes. I, Ted Cantu, had to figure out how to work the search engine game for real. In this long hard search I had to distinguish which was a real phenomenon and what was a phoney flash in the pan. I experienced my share of charlatans, tricksters and flat out farbezners in the grand scheme of things.

The only real thing I was able to find in the world of marketing was Web 2.0 and social interaction in addition to search engine optimization, (SEO). I figured out how ot create real content that was Google spider friendly and could get pages and items included on the Internet in record time. This was somewhat of a revelation and a relief.

My goal these days is to reintroduce Internet and web communication back to the corporate level as a real tool. What existed originally is just a mere shadow of what it now stands today. Internet communication during these trying economic times is your best ally and most powerful weapon that you can employ in your aresenal. Simply said, this is a very dynamic way of expressing your marketing messages and ensuring that they will be heard by the right people.
