Finding a Teeth Whitening Product

Teeth whitening is a common concern for many people today.  People are constantly on the go and drinking coffee and dark cola products that are constantly staining their teeth.  Since they do not have the means most of the time to brush their teeth after consuming these products or eating things that might stain their teeth, individuals become concerned as their teeth become darker in color, often looking yellow or brown.  Cigarettes are also a major cause of teeth staining and individuals who smoke will often want to have teeth whitening done so that they can have white teeth again.  The process will have to be repeated on a more constant basis for a smoker than for other individuals since he will be staining his teeth with the nicotine multiple times per day rather than just once or twice.  People that constantly drink coffee or colas will also have to do teeth whitening more frequently since their teeth are always getting more stained again.

New Products

There are many new products that are available for teeth whitening on the market today. There are some that can be bought over the counter in the convenience store or discount stores.  These are usually some whitening strips that are placed on the teeth for a period of thirty minutes, once per day for about two weeks.  During this time, the teeth are absorbing the bleach that is on the strips and making the teeth whiter.  These teeth whitening strips are effective in most cases where the staining is not too intense and are safe to use on most types of teeth.  However, some of these strips can cause sensitivity in the teeth that some users do not like and will search for other products to help with the sensitivity problem and the whitening problem.

There is also the method of going to the dentist to get a teeth whitening product.  Often this involves the process of having a tray fitted to the contours of the teeth.  This tray will be used to hold the bleach and can be pressed up onto the teeth for the time required for whitening.  These trays and tubes of bleach are nice because they allow the users to reapply the bleach whenever needed and are custom fit to the teeth to give better whitening to them.  There is also laser teeth whitening available today which is said to make the process much quicker for individuals.  Instead of spending two weeks getting the teeth as white as they want, the individuals can have it in one visit to the dentist in most cases.
