I stumbled upon Bob Jenkins, known to thousands as Bob The Teacher, in January 2008. He happened to be starting a series of live teleseminars to teach... how to do teleseminars.

The Teleseminar Formula Workshop was to be like attending a live conference, but better, as no travel or hotel reservations were needed. There were to be four sessions on a Friday and Saturday, followed by a break during the week, and then four more sessions the following Friday and Saturday.

Although it sounded intense, it seemed to be just the thing I was looking for to help my business move forward. So I decided to enroll on the spot.

Intense? More so than I expected. But I eagerly awaited each new class as Bob, I discovered, is the ultimate teacher. He outdid himself on each occasion, and usually ran past the scheduled time allowance.

Bob taught us systematically, and sent us off after class 4 to do our own teleseminars before the second set of four classes. Now that's something I hadn't really expected to do that week.

To tell you the truth, I was scared to death to actually do a teleseminar. I pulled it off. The teleseminar title was Use Home Robots To Do Housework and Yard Jobs For You.

I can't say I'm really proud of my first teleseminar. But I can say it was a great learning experience for me and I learned much more from Bob than just the mechanics of running a teleseminar site.

For instance, one of the things he taught us to do is send our recordings to an online transcription site, to form the basis of an e-book. So guess what I'm editing this week?
