Work From Home - 10 Helpful Hubs
70I have been an nurse for many years. It is a wonderful, fulfilling profession! When I was in a college one of my professors told me that I was much too smart to be a nurse, I should be a doctor. I told him that doctors cure diseases, nurses cure people. I've never looked back.
I love taking care of people. I love helping them find a way to live with their lives. Nurses don't cure people, they help them live better. I love helping them deal with their problems. I love how their faces light up when they know someone truely cares.
I hate the long hours and low pay. I hate being away from my family. I hate missing all the school functions. I decided that I needed to change my priorities. I needed to put my family before my job. I decided that I needed a break.
I decided I would try to find a way to work at home. I could see my children more. I could go to all those school functions I had been missing all these years. I could kiss them good bye when they left and hello when they returned.
I began searching the internet for ways to make money on-line...
Chaos...Contradicting...Confusing!!!
These were my thoughts as I searched for a legitimate way to make money online. So many sites! Every one claimed to be the only legit method. I would find one that seemed OK, then search for other's experiences with them, only to find another scam.
I knew there must be some way...there were too many people claiming to be doing it. Then I found a link that brought me to Hubpages. Finally I found some real advise from real people!
Hubpage?! What the heck is a Hubpage
What is a Hub...and how does it make you money? A Hub is basically an article you write and publish on the Google site Hubpages. You can then link advertisements to it and get paid either when someone clicks on an add or when someone purchases an item.
Becoming a member of Hubpages is free, and so is the linking to the advertisements. All you have to do is write articles on any subject you are interested in. You need to have a Hub written and published before you can link Google's Adsense (one of the available advertisers).
So...sign up for Hubpages, start writing, then continue reading this.

I am still working as a nurse. As it advised in one of the hubs, I haven't yet told my boss what I think of him! I am starting out and know it will take some time. I put this together to save others time and effort. I guess it's my nursing instinct in trying to help coming out.

Hi K@ri, this is Eve. I have just joined hubpages and got your interesting hub. why don't you go for a part time job, that way you would be able to help people as well as make money. Thanks for listing the above useful hubs at one place.
Thanks Eve. I'll keep my day job for a while, I have 2 kids to support.
Don't forget to check out the link compu-smart left me. It is excellent.
kari, I'm certainly not making my living online, but like you, I'm trying to supplement my primary income and researching how writing online might someday be enough. It seems to me like the best advice is ensuring income from a variety of sources. I would think with your nursing expertise that you could also benefit from something like justanswers.com or liveperson.com - I just saw a hub about liveperson recently, and I bet there are others out there about both sites. Good luck in your quest!
I've seen justanswers, but I've not seen liveperson. I'll have to go check it out. My biggest problem is finding time away from HubPages...I must say I am seriously addicted!! So much to read, so much to write...so little time! Thanks dineane!
Wow, this was a great resource - thanks for compiling it!
jason, I'm glad you found it helpful! Thanks for visiting!

I hope that it was worth leaving your nursing job. The Hub advice was good with references to other hubbing and their take on making money. But how are you doing now that you are no longer working as a nurse or did I misread?
