Ten Reasons To Start A Blog
68I Would Rather Be Blogging
It's My Hobby
A Blog Can Be Serious or Frivolous
The ten reasons to start a blog need to be preceded by a few minor details. There are good blogging platforms and bad blogging platforms. There are free blogs and there are paid blogs.
The free blogs usually are limited to the amount of space you can use. Paid blogs are generally expandable up to virtually unlimited amounts of space with lots of peripherals available for your use.
Serious bloggers like Queen Elizabeth of England and Oprah Winfrey are serious bloggers and so use the heftier blogging platforms. The blogs they use are more like informal websites.
# 1. A blog is like the center of a spider web. You can use it to communicate with people who have the same interests as you. Maybe you are a quilter, so you can share patterns and techniques with other quilters.
# 2. Use a Blog to vent your feelings about the government, the bad economic situation or the high cost of medical insurance or the outrageous cost of prescription drugs. Have at it.
# 3. You have a hobby you would like to share with others who have the same interests. Woodworking, model building, sewing, kite making and flying. Go for it, it's a good way to communicate with others.
# 4. There is a community of authors out there on the web who just love to communicate thoughts and ideas. Some like to publish short stories to see how their writing is accepted by their peers
# 5. A blog is a great platform for bragging or telling lies, just to see who can outdo all the others out there on the net.
# 6. A blog is a good place to share experiences with family and even family problems. Share vacation experiences, good places to go and places to stay away from. Pilots have a lot in common. Those who love sailing have a lot to share.
# 7. I like to use a blog to share business building tecniques with persons who are wanting to start an internet marketing business but don't quite know where to begin.
# 8. To business builders, blogging is a serious business. A blog is the center of their business. It's like the center of a spider web with links going in every direction, both going and coming.
# 9. A blog, if used in the right way can be the engine that drives traffic to and from all of a business builders activities. The traffic through the blogs of a serious business person is the life blood of the the business and it produces revenue for it's owner.
# 10. It is not uncommon for a person who is generating a six or even seven figure income to have several blogs each having hundreds of pages and all of them producing revenue for the owner.
Those are my ten reasons for starting a blog, but I am sure there are hundreds of other reasons out there.
No business builder should be without a blog. It is the center of activity for a business. A business builder should have a formal website as well as other blogs. You can drive targeted traffic from one to the other.
A good paid blog like the one I use will ping the search engines for you each and every time you publish a new page. If you write your articles using good SEO techniques, you will be on the first page of google most of the time.
Free blogs don't work that way. You can get the same results with a free blog but you have to put in a great deal more time and effort. The cost of squarespace.com is about eight dollars a month. Not a great deal of money for all the time and effort you will save.
The ten reasons to start a blog have turned into fourteen or fifteen reasons so I will end by saying this. Hi Grant,
Another great Hub. A blog is a home base for an internet business with all the little links coming and going. I can get lost reading blogs--they are so creative and interesting. Keep up the good work.
