There is little doubt, in fact, no doubt whatsoever that one of the myriad elements that made Looney Tunes the perennial cultural treasure it has become is its phenomenally impressive use of music. "Rabbit of Seville" is by no means the only Bugs Bunny and Co. cartoon that has great music. Some of the Looney Tunes collection have been nominated for Academy Awards for their musical scores. Almost everyone who has ever seen a Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck or Porky Pig cartoon can cite at least one great musical moment.

Looney Tunes don't just have a music track. Looney Tunes acutally incorporate the music so it becomes a part of the animation and the action itself. This is something which makes the animation that much more appealing: the combination of musical and animated motion blending into a cohesive performance.

"Rabbit of Seville" is yet another in the extensive library of great musical performances which happen to be accompanied by very well-crafted animation.

I loved this cartoon growing up! I still sometimes hum the tune while I'm working on something.
