When Jesus and his disciples were on the Mount of Olives, He was asked by them concerning the sign of His coming, and of the end of the world. He told then that one of the last things that would happen in the world in the sequence of events that would portend the approaching end was the preaching of the gospel in the whole world. He said: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 2:14, New International Version)

ZEPHANIAH 1:14-18

The coming end will be a terrifying event for those who will not be saved. As early as the time of the prophets, the dreadful things that would happen on the day were already foretold. The Prophet Zephaniah wrote: "The great day of the LORD is near---near and coming quickly. Listen! The cry of the day of the LORD will be bitter, the shouting of the warrior there. The day will be a day of wrath, a day of distress and anguish, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness, a day of trumpet and battle cry against the corner towers. I will bring distress on the people and they will walk like blink men, because they have sinned against the LORD. Their blood will be poured out like dust and their entrails like filth. Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of the LORD‘s wrath. In the fire of his jealousy the whole world will be consumed, for he will make a sudden end of all who live in the earth"

II PETER 3:7)

The day the world ends will be a day of ruin, a day of distress and anguish, a day of darkness and gloom---that will be the day of the Lord, the day of Judgment. On the Day of Judgment, the ungodly will be destroyed with fire.

MATTHEW. 24:33, New King James Version

But, because God is full of love and mercy, He will not allow the end to come without warning the people of the world and without giving them the chance to understand His master plan of salvation. Hence, one of the last sings that will be fulfilled before the end comes is the proclamation of the true gospel in the world. This will serve as a testimony to all that inasmuch as they have already been duly warned because the gospel been duly warned because the gospel of salvation has been preached to them, then there is no longer anyone they can blame if they are still not saved but themselves alone.

Thus, now that most of the signs that indicates that the advent of Christ is near having already been seen, and that indeed "it is near---at the doors!" (Matt. 24:33, New King James Version), those who have been called in the true Church of Christ should intensify their effort in helping in the propagation of the gospel. Each one should do his share toward the fulfillment of the pronouncement of our Lord Jesus Christ that the Gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole world, and then the end will come.

EPHESIAN 3:21, Living Bible

Now is the most propitious time for God's chosen people to give their all to the noble work of spreading the truth about the means by which Christ will be save the sinners. And that this is within the purview of God's master plan of salvation for the Church though His Son, Jesus Christ. As it is written in the Bible: "May he be given glory forever and ever through endless ages because of his master plan of salvation for the church through Jesus Christ "

There may be many things that ten to hinder the work of spreading the gospel of salvation: the many armed conflicts, political crises, and chaos taking place in different parts of the world; the riches and pleasures and worries of life that preoccupy many people. Leaving them no more time to fulfill God's very purpose for creating mankind; and the recent resurgence of atheism in public awareness judging by the sales of popular atheist books. But, all these obstacles are not insurmountable.

These may pose as challenges to us but they can in no way hinder the spread of the gospel. God hasp provided the means and the resources that we can employ to facilitate our task, and these include the media technologies that are available today. God has made use if the inspired leadership of the present Church Administration in order to bring the Church to different countries, not only to oversee His chosen people who at present can be found in more and more countries, but also in order to be God's instrument in spreading the gospel of salvation. God has allowed all of these in order for His will to be fulfilled--- that even more people may learn of the truth that will bring them to salvation. This great work of salvation cannot be hindered, because it is the work of God. He is the One who said, "I work and who can hinder it?"

God is the One who wants all people to be saved because He is not pleased that anyone should perish. This is what He said: "Do I have any pleasure at all that the wicked should die?" (Ezek. 18:23, NKJV). But the salvation of man must be in accordance with the justice and righteousness of God. And in order for man to understand this, He wants everyone to learn the truth that leads to salvation. Apostle Paul said: "For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth' (I Tim. 2:3-4).

Thus, all of the elect of God should continue to unite and take part actively in the work of spreading the pure gospel so that people may understand and fulfill the truth that will lead them to attain salvation on the day of Judgment.
