The Rock Church San Diego
55My review of the church
church is very personal to each and everyone...so take reviews with a grain of salt. only you know after you have gone for yourself.
it's not the building but the people that make up a church, but most of all, your relationship with GOD. for me, The Rock Church is the place to be after church hopping all the major ones in SD. Before that, I was a member of one for 10 years and became cynical of everything Christian.
I was hearing that the Rock isn's "as Christian," the people are bad, they compromise the Bible... blah blah blah.... so it was the last one I visited. I became critical of the Rock with no reason. After running out of churches to church hop, I went there. That day, all my prejudgements of the place went away and was put in my place. Who was I to talk against God's people?
Since my first day there, my faith has never been stronger and closer to God. I asked God to help me grow in faith and feed my spiritual life. I was seeking so I found and the Rock had it all. I learned more in a few months here than in 10 years elsewhere.
For all those that say it's not deep enough, they probably have not attended the classes such as BootCamp and Xtreme Biblical Studies. There are so many classes year round for everything you could possibly think of. There is so much that it just doesn't make sense how it could possibly be not "deep" enough. I can't even get through all of their website pages (www.therocksandiego.org).
Miles' Sunday services merely showed me where to go and how to grow. It's like the appetizer to Christian living. for those who want "more" definately gotta do more instead of sitting back waiting for Miles to feed them everything. Christian LIFE - not title. Let me know when you have read your bible front to back and taken ALL the classes there and have served in every monistry and if you still feel it is not deep enough, then I can give you a million dollars =)
being a Christian all my life, I was looking for a church to give me something more but realized it was me who was doing nothing but merely going through Sunday motions. no one can get filled by eating one day a week and expect to be full and okay the rest of the week.
If you want to be filled somewhere somehow.. open your eyes... with anywhere you go, be objective and seek with your heart... and you will find.
i wish you the best in your search for God in your life.
