79Famous Thai Temple Monk
Luang Poo Suk had the ability to change objects into different sizes and shapes. He chanted a kathah and removed the coconut husk and the houseflies turned into elephant. In the year BE2477 on 21st of January at the age of 76, Luang Poo Suk Gesaroh Wat Makhamtow had passed away.
In the year BE2390, Pra Kru WiMonKuNaGon or Luang Poo Suk GeSaRoh was borned on 14th October at Moo Bahn Pahk Klorng MaKhamTow, Ampher WatSing, Jangwat ChaaiNaht. His parents were Nuam (father) and Torng Dee (mother) during the time of the 4th King Regime.
Turning 10 years of age, Luang Poo Suk was sent to GrungTep (in Bangkok) by his mother to be raised by his uncle. During his stay in GrungTep, he found a beautiful woman and got married. Soon after, he got a son. When he had reached the age for ordain, he decided to become a monk and went to Wat PohTornLahng to be ordained. During that time, his preceptor was Pra UPaChaYaCui JanNaTaSiRi. He was then given his ordain's name as Gesaroh. At Wat PohTorngLahng, Luang Poo Suk had studied Dhamma and Sammahdti until he was ready to go to Tudung. When he was at Tudung, he had met alot of different teachers and learned the secret Wichah (magic) from them. During that time, one of the teachers who had taught him was Pra Ah Jahn ThumWuaDaeng. Pra Ah Jahn ThumWuaDaeng had also taught Luang Por Ngern Wat Bahng Klahn Jangwat PiJit during that period, who was also a famous monk for Pra Pidtah Pim Khee Dtah.
After staying in Tudung for many years and practise, Luang Poo Suk decided to go back his hometown where his parents were waiting for his return. His parents had asked Luang Poo Suk to remain at Pahk Klorng MaKhamTow. So, Luang Poo Suk abided to his parents request to stayed at Pahk Klorng MaKhamTow. At Pahk Klorng MaKhamTow, he stayed until he became the abbot of the village's temple. He then decided to rebuild Wat Pahk Klorng MaKhamTow, from a simple small village temple into the largest and most beautiful temple at that time.
During that period, Luang Poo Suk had many disciples that were ordained or lay disciples. There was one of his lay disciples that was close to Luang Poo Suk during his time and he was GromLuangChumPron KhetUDomSak, the son of the 4th King. At that time, Luang Poo Suk had taught all the skills about Dhamma and Wichah that he possessed.
Since that time, Luang Poo Suk had special power and became famous for his Wichah. The special power of abilities was Luang Poo Suk had the power of changing the sizes and shapes of an object. One day when there were a large group of merchants had stopped by Wat Pahk Klorng MaKhamTow for resting. At that period of time, it was common that merchants using elephants as their mean of transportation for goods and themselves.
These merchants had stopped by at the temple to cook their meals but suddenly realised that they did not have enough meat. At that time, there were some villagers that had asked them to use their rifles to shoot some pigeons at the temple. That way, they would be able to have some pigeons meat for their dinner. It turned out that one of the merchants took the joke seriously and started to fire his rifle at the pigeon. But it happened that the rifle had failed to fire. When the villagers saw that, they quickly stopped him and told him that Luang Poo Suk prohibit any person to kill living things in the temple. Unfortunately, the merchant had refused to listen to the warning. Noting that the rifle had failed to fire, he decided to use his cross-bow and fire the arrow at the pigeon. It can be seen that the arrow had flied off but then dropped at a short distance without even harming the pigeon. Noticing that, the merchant was angry and started shouting: "The abbot of this temple has what great power?"
Luang Poo Suk was very famous for his Wichah. One of his abilties was that he could change the sizes and shapes of an object. The villagers stopped him, and told him that Luang Poo Suk prohibit anyone to kill living things in the temple. That merchant refused to listen and seeing that the rifle failed to fire, he raised his cross-bow and fire the arrow at the pigeon. The arrow flied off, but dropped at a short distance, without hitting the pigeon. This merchant became very angry and started to shout: "The abbot of this temple has what great power?"
