Luang Pu Toh blessing amulets
In Thailand Temple, back in the year BE2400, there were quite a number of famous Thai monks who had much contribution to the Buddhist community. They had done many good deeds for the people and helped people overcoming obstacles and hardships. Luang Pu Toh was one of those famous monk who had done his part to help the community of people in Thailand as well as all over the world. Now his amulets have become one of most source for items. Luang Pu Toh, Wat Pradoochimpee was one of the famous Thai monk in Thailand Temple and came from the local Bangkontee district of Samutsongkram province. Pra Raht SangWaLahPiMon also known as Luang Phor Toh ITatSuWanNon (official name as Chao Khun Prarachsangwara Bhimonda) born in Bahn Klorng Nahng Noi, Jangwat SaMutSongKrahm on 27 March BE2430 (1887) from the family of Loy & Tub Ruttanakon.
For Buddhism, it takes a lot of courage and hardships to overcome before one can get enlightenment. I can proudly say that Luang Pu Toh was one of those Thai monk who had gone through lots of hardships to overcome and attain enlightenment in the end of his life.
At the age of 13, his parents passed away and taken care by a relative at Wat Pradoochimplee. As a young boy, Luang Pu Toh became a novice monk under Luang Poo Suek at Wat PraDooChimPlee. During that period, Pra ATitGahnKum was the abbot of Wat PraDooChimPlee. Luang Poo Tog studied dhamma under Pra Ah Jahn Prom from WatPraDooChimPlee. When he reached the age of 20, Luang Pu Toh was ordained as a monk on 16th July BE2450 by PraKru SamMaNaTamSaMahTahn (Luang Poo Saeng) from Wat PakNam. PraKru TamMaWiRat (Chei) Wat GumPaeng were the receptors. After Pra Ah Jahn Prom passed away, Luang Pu Toh went to study dhamma under Luang Por Rong Wat TahGraBeua at SaMuSahKon Province. Sometime later, he went Tudong to many forested places in Northern Thailand, spending many rain retreats there. Luang Phor Toh was a dedicated respectable monk who was highly respected by the local people.
Being a Buddhism monk in Thailand, you will have to undergo through many years of training and understanding to become abbot. Training under other famous monks will help you to gain knowledge and skill to gain special power that can help people in life. Truly, Luang Pu Toh was one of the famous monk that had done so.
Luang Poo Toh returned to Bangkok and became the abbot of Wat PraDooChimPlee. He got to know Luang Por Sod, Wat Paknam and they became close friends. Sometime later, Luang Por Sod accompanied Luang Pu Toh to learn under the very famous Pra Ah Jahn Nohng at SuPhanBuri Province. After studying under Ah Jahn Nohng for many years, Luang Pu Toh returned to Bangkok. LP Toh took over the position of the Temple from LP Kum at the age of 26 where he became the abbot.
Luang Pu Toh was very popular and highly respected in Bangkok. Whenever there were any ceremony such as chanting of amulets, celebration, fund raising etc, Luang Pu Toh would always be invited because when people heard about Luang Pu Toh's name, they would come and support the ceremony as well.
As such, Luang Pu Toh was involved in many mass chanting of amulets such as Pra Somdej Luang Phor Pae Roon Rahk chanting at Wat Shuthat in BE2494, 25 Puttawat chanting in BE2500, Pra Luang Poo Thuat chanting at Wat Prasat in BE2506m Pra Somdej 09 chanting at Wat Bahn Koon Prom in BE2509, Pra Somdej Roy Pee chanting at Wat RaKang in BE2515 etc. LP Toh studied under Luang Phor Phromma on magic who was the abbot of Wat Pradoochimplee.
Beside the lay people, the 9th or present King of Thailand and the royal family respected Luang Pu Toh very much too. Onecan see from many photographs of the royal family had taken with Luang Pu Toh.
In BE2463, Luang Pu Toh chanted the first batch of amulets made of Neua Phong. The most popular Pim from this batch is the Pra Somdej KaToh, which is very rare and expensive now. Since that time, Luang Pu Toh continue to chant many batches of amulets of many types such as Pra Pidta, Somdej, Roop Meuan and Rians etc. All Luang Pu Toh's amulets are very well-proven to be able to protect people from accidents and hardship.
Even since that time, LP Toh had been chanting many batches of amulets like Phra Pidta, Somdej, Rians, etc. Luang Pu Toh had passed away on 5th April BE2524 at the age of 93 years old.

When my family and I came to the United States in 1980 we knew of only one Theravdan Buddhist temple which was located in Bridgeport, CT. We then learned of another much closer temple in the Bronx and so began attended there as it was much closer. However, the neighborhood was not safe and so a lofty donation was made which inabled the sangha to purchase a temple in Mount Vernon, NY. It's name is the Vajiradhammadip Thai Temple and would be where I would attend for next fourteen years. Great informative hub. I will try to check back as much as I can.
