Thanksgiving Wishes
58I know I have a lot to be thankful for:
- A wonderful husband
- 3 great dogs
- A roof over my head
- A great education
- Family and friends that love me
- My health
- And SO MUCH MORE!
But I think that Thanksgiving should also come with wishes, like, things that we WOULD be thankful for if they came true. If that were the case, this is what I would wish for:
- The ability to sit through a meal with other women who don't share the same lifestyle as me, & have it not be filled with catty nonsense and condescension. Just because I'm not a mother yet does not mean that I'm not an adult...please don't act like I should be placed at the "kid table."
- That my in-laws would stop worrying about our finances. Last I checked, we were able to pay our bills & put some money in savings. Are we rolling in it? No, but we're doing just fine. Please don't ask if my husband can afford a hair cut...yes, he can...he just doesn't want one. Thanks.
- That people would stop whining about their weight & how bad they know it is to eat a big Thanksgiving meal...while they're eating the big Thanksgiving meal. Here's my perspective: if you're going to eat a big meal, just do it, allow yourself the splurge, but if you're going to whine about it, show some self-restraint and stop yourself before you start. It makes no sense to beat yourself up about a meal that you know you're going to enjoy. Just enjoy it.
Well, that's what I'd wish for. But, even if they don't come true, I'm thankful nonetheless.

No, thank YOU!
Well HAPPY THANKSGIVING MY DEAR and here's wishing you have many more...Mine has been just wonderful....G-Ma :o) (full) hugs
I love the way you looked at it as more than just thanks but other things we could be thankful for if we worked on achieving them.
Great piece.
