Don't agree with all of these as the top 100 female pop/rock artists. But I definitely agree with Janis Joplin, Aretha, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Janet Jackson, Stevie Nicks, Mariah Carey, and Linda Ronstadt.

haha. that queen from YouTube being Chris Crocker? LOL. I think Amy Winehouse should be higher! She is amazing! Aretha Franklin is a perfect number one. And Madonna is also the perfect number one of the pop princesses. :)

regarding aretha: her three consecutive albums in the early seventies... young gifted and black, i've never loved a man, and lady soul.......indisputable......

Agnetha Fältskog's clear and sweet voice helped supergroup ABBA sell hundreds of millions of "units" worldwide. A special voice, still listened to today. And her partner Anni-Frid Lyngstad deserves a listing, too.
