The NFL Playoffs - Nothing Quite Like It
The NFL Playoffs are upon us, and nothing in the world can compare to the excitement among NFL fans who are still in the hunt for the SuperBowl. Every year, the teams battle it out for seventeen weeks for the right to enter the tournament that is called the NFL Playoffs. This hub is to give you a brief overview of the teams that are still alive and playing for the right to be called the Super Bowl Champions! Also, if you are interested in seeing predictions for the playoffs, including the outcomes of every single playoff game, I would highly suggest you check out The Final NFL Football Word!
The New York Giants
The Giants are the defending Super Bowl Champions and are certainly primed to defend that title. Though they have had their share of tough times this season with the Plaxico Burress shooting and other various New York dramas, they are certainly considered among the favorites to be Super Bowl Champions. They start the playoffs on a bye in the NFC.
The Carolina Panthers
The up and coming Panthers are a very tough team that is certainly looking at a potential run in the playoffs. They have an awesome running game with LaDanian Tomlinson and Jonathan Stewart, and a great quarterback in Jake Delhomme. They are an odds on favorite to make some noise in this years playoffs and are the number two seed in the NFC.

The Tennessee Titans
The Titans have dominated the NFL for the majority of the season and come into the playoffs expecting to win. This team, led by veteran quarterback Kerry Collins, is a tough nosed defensive minded football team that many pick to win the Super Bowl this season. They are the number one seed in the AFC.
The Arizona Cardinals
The Cardinals are the NFL team that gets no respect right now. The reason is because they have spent the better part of the second half of the NFL season losing. They played in the NFC West which was one of the poorer divisions in football, so they still snuck into the playoffs. This team is dangerous however, with a great former NFL MVP quarterback named Kurt Warner. They face the Atlanta Falcons and Matt Ryan in a wildcard matchup on the opening day weekend of the playoffs. Click here for a game prediction and analysis.
The Atlanta Falcons
With the addition of Michael Turner and Matt Ryan, the Falcons are no longer a joke in NFL circles. This young team gave the Panthers fits in the NFC South and may just be an underdog that can make some noise in the playoffs. Expect them to be much better than anyone realizes come the playoffs.
San Diego Chargers
The Chargers literally had to win their way into the playoffs this year and pray for a horrible collapse by the Denver Broncos. They got both. The Broncos literally gave the division away, and many NFL insiders expect that it might just turn the NFL playoffs upside down. The Chargers are a very dangerous team with LaDanian Tomlinson and Phillip Rivers. This might be the storyline of the NFL playoffs.
The Pittsburgh Steelers
This years version of the steel curtain seems to be the team that nobody wants to face in the playoffs and with good reason. They are solid from top to bottom and they know how to win. Ben Roethlisgeger and Troy Polamalu lead the Steelers into the playoffs with a will to win at all costs.
The Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now, and virtually everyone has taken notice. Coach Andy Reid has Donovan Mcnabb and the Eagles playing like everyone thought they would on opening day. They are red hot and have a defense that can literally rip through an offense. A very dangerous playoff team.
The Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens are about only one thing. Defense. Everybody knows that defense wins championships. That sounds like a dangerous combination to me. Ray Lewis, and the hungry Ravens are looking to do some damage in the AFC this season and the development of rookie Joe Flacco at quarterback has only helped the cause.
The Indiannapolis Colts
League MVP Peyton Manning has taken the Colts to nine straight wins to end the NFL regular season and he has a great surrounding cast. The Colts are looking like they might be peaking at the perfect time. Joseph Addai, and superstart wide reciever Reggie Wayne lead the way for Peyton and the Colts.
The Minnesota Vikings
When you have a running back like Adrian Peterson in your backfield, you always have a chance. The Vikings are much more than AP, however, with a defense that can create nightmares for the opposition. They are likely going to need every bit of talent that AP possesses, however, to survive the tough NFC playoffs.
The Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins are among the sentimental favorites to win the Super Bowl this year primarily due to an amazing turnaround from last season. The Dolphins are certainly capable of making some noise with Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown running the football, but they are likely to come up short against the better AFC teams.

My Eagles will have a much more difficult task with the Giants in Round 2.
