^{The first successful breed was the Sphynx. The earliest Sphynx, named Prune, was born in 1966.}

 ^{It has 22 tenticles on it's nose used to identify it's food. The are predominately in North America,  and lives in wet lowland areas and eats small invertebrates, aquatic insects, worms and molluscs.}

 ^{My favorite--a shrew-like creature with a long snout  and teeth specially designed  to deliver venom. Only two solenodon species exist today, one in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, and the other in Cuba.}

 ^{They live at the bottom of the ocean as their name suggests. They eat the mud on the sea floor. Scientists aren't sure why they are so successful as a specie.}

^{A gelatinous mass that has a high buoyancy, this fish skims the ocean floor gobbling up anything it comes across as it floats by.}

 ^{This is amazing! Discovered in 2005 in the South Pacific Ocean, this creature was dubbed the "yeti lobster" or "yeti crab". It lives at a depth of 2,200 metres on hydrothermal vents along the Pacific-Antarctic}

 ^{It's creamy color stems from it's exotic Chinese ancestry.}

 ^{It's a noctornal mouse-like rodent that lives in the Chinese and Mongolian deserts.  It has a long tail, long legs and extremely large ears. Being such a rare creature, it is in danger of extinction.}

 ^{A distant cousin of the woodpecker, it taps food from the trees. When food is located it uses its rodent-like teeth to gnaw a hole, then digs them out with its long middle finger.}

 ^{It's unusually over-sized, and flexible, nose warms up the air in winter and filters out the dust in summer.}

 ^{Replicating something like a penis, the hagfish has been dubbed the most "disgusting" of all sea creatures. It has unusual feeding habits and copious slime producing capabilities.}

 ^{They are covered with leaf-like appendages, making them remarkably camouflaged. They are habitants of Australia and love calm, cold water which have been protected by the government since 1982.}

 ^{Similiar in appearance to some people I have met over the years, the slender loris inhabits tropical moist lowland forests found in India or Sri Lanka. Currently they are just about distinct.}

 ^{It is one of the longest of all living crocodilians, sometimes measuring over 20 feet.}

 ^{I found my long lost brother....(I have similar hair). These walk along the seabed  hunting for food in Indonesia.}

 ^{Their name orginates with it's ears looking like the Disney character Dumbo. They are extremely rare and dive to incredble depths in the sea.}

 ^{This is a deepwater fish with long, needle-like teeth and hinged lower jaws. It is one of the fiercest predators in the very deep part of the sea and is believed to attack its prey by luring its victim with a light producing organ.}

 ^{This large bird can be found in Eastern Africa.  It stands at an average of four feet with a wingspan of over seven feet. The species was only discovered by ornithologists in the 19th century.}

 ^{This aquatic reptile looks like he is smiling. The Mexican mole salamander originates from the lake underlying Mexico City. They have the unique ability to regenerate body parts.}

 ^{It calls the Pacific Ocean home. It can be up to 50 cm in length.}

 ^{Because of the large and loose skin around it's neck, it runs on it's hind legs when frightened.}

 ^{They are one of two types of mammals that lay eggs.}

 ^{Once a widespread specie, the only existing Tarsiers in existance today is those along the islands of Southeast Asia. Each eyeball is 16 mm in diameter and is as larger or larger than their entire brain.}

 ^{A herbivorous mammal about the size of a cat,  it has semi-retractible claws and thick fur on its soles to protect it from the cold and to hide its scent.}

 ^{It's moste noted trait is it's rotund nose. It has been discovered that the female prefers large- nosed males, the larger the better!}

^{Indigenous to western Brazil, southeastern Colombia, eastern Ecuador, and eastern Peru, they are omnivorous, feeding on fruit, leaves, insects, and sometimes even small reptiles.}

 ^{This one calls south Asia home. At only four feet tall, it is the smallest member of the bear family, and it is often called the dog bear.}

 ^{A large Hungarian dog breed, this one  has a long, thick, strikingly corded white coat and has been declared one of its nation's national treasures.}

 ^{Similiar to the Komondor, this dog's dreads rarely moults and is a very fast, acrobatic dog.}
