Fathers Day and The Absent Dad
62How to show love
Father's Day is fast approaching and everyone is out shopping for gifts. How do you find the perfect gift for the absent father. A life without the prescence of a father, whether it is by choice or circumstance, is still difficult. Do you love them or do you hate them? Deep down the love is there; So, what do you get the absent Dad for Father's Day.
The "World's Greatest Dad" trophy is just not doing it for you. Sometimes the best gift is no gift at all. You should try to spend some quality time with dear old dad. Have a picnic at the park, or meet for a drink or dessert at a local restaurant. The two of you should go to a movie together,go fishing, or whatever you both enjoy doing. The most important aspect of that day should be getting to know each other and building on a relationship.
An empty gift of ties or golf balls will have little importance to you or dad a year from now, but spending time to get to know each other is priceless. Memories last a lifetime.
