The Abyssinian has an open, lively personality and loves to talk. This cats generally loves being around people. It will let you know when it wants your attention and will show great affection in return. It has a gentle and loving nature and seems to know human feelings. Abyssinians are considered very loyal and one of the smartest cat breeds.
Abyssinians are active and playful cats throughout their lives and not a good choice if you are looking for a lap cat because it has too much unexpended energy. You should feed kittens with raw chicken wings in an early stage to exercise their gums and prevent tartar from forming. Renal Amyloidosis is a kidney problem which is genetic. Remember to buy your cat from a reputable breeder with a clean record and with whom you can discuss all aspects of the Abyssinian including its health.
