The Akashic Records: What Are They?
What is perhaps most intriguing about the Akashic Records is that they contain the records of every thought, action or word of every existence. Hence, they are known to hold all the birth, life and death information of every soul in the human realm and every being in the universe. They contain the energetic blueprints about origination and each soul through its journey across all lifetimes. How we are all connected to our family members and to one another can also be found in the Akashic Records.
“Akashic Records” is also known under different terms. It is alternatively known as an etheric library, the “Book of Life”, the “Universal Computer”, the “Mind of God”, the Cosmic or Collective Consciousness, the Collective Unconscious or the Collective Subconscious. The word “Akashic” is actually an ancient Indian Sanskrit word that means “sky”, “space” or “aether”.
The Akashic Records: How To Access
Metaphorically, many psychics or readers experience the Akashic Records as some kind of library. They relax themselves to a certain meditative state and then tune in to be in this library. They are then able to retrieve just about any information there-is; past, present and to some extent, the future.
While many are tempted to think that Akashic Records exist somewhere out there, it is essentially through the godspark, the inner connection to the Divine that allows the access. A spiritual practice helps in gaining that connection. A mind that is cluttered with thoughts, little awareness in consciousness, distrust in the information passing through and perceptual filters can influence the content of what is read.
What Are The Akashic Records
Akashic Records Equal Book of Life
Edgar Cayce (1877-1945), perhaps the most famous Akashic Record Reader, was asked to explain the difference between the Book of Life and Akashic Records:
Q: What is meant by the Book of Life?
A: The record that the individual entity itself writes upon the skein of time and space, through patience – and is opened when self has attuned to the infinite and may be read by those attuning to that consciousness.....
Q: The Book of God's remembrances?
A: This is the Book of Life.
Q: The Akashic Records?
The Akashic Records: How A Reading Can Be Useful
Much of discontentment and lack of happiness in our current lifetime are presented in the form of blocks and obstacles. We wonder why we seem to be facing endless struggles in becoming the success that we think we deserve. We wonder why we keep reliving the same dramas and negative patterns in our lives. We wonder if it is ever possible to change our luck.
Having our akashic records read provide us with the clues in what our blocks and obstacles are. At the root, we also gain an understanding of who we are at soul-level. We also get to know what natural gifts and talents we are meant to express and bring forward in our current lifetime.
The Akashic Records: What Information Is Needed For A Reading
To get a reading of your akashic records, most psychics or intuitive readers require basic information such as your birth name and birthdate. Some may ask for your permanent residential address. Others may ask for your photo. Limited as the information required is, it is possible to unearth your entire soul records.
In most instances, you do not have be physically in front of the reader. From any location in the world, a psychic or intuitive reader is able to access your records by retrieving them from the etheric library. You then get to receive a call or a report to summarize the findings after the reading is completed.
Amazing, isn't it?

I've never heard of this before, although it does make sense of some of my own experiences. I will have to read more about it.
@VioletSun, physical distance is no barrier to getting a reading of your akashic records done. Don't forget they are stored energetically and on an etheric plane!
@Amanda Servern, please do! The akashic records is really fascinating!
I do believe in these things. Thanks for sharing this.
Lady Guinevere,
Thank you for your feedback. It's great to know that in believing, you are really remembering who you are.

Evelyn,
To read the akashic record (energy and information stored in the quantum vacuum of our physical universe) is far more simple than most people realize. Think of the matter that is all around you, while in a relaxed state of mind just let all thoughts flow in and out of your mind. If you have a specific thing you wish to know than through the mental chatter that clutters our thoughts you can learn to tune into those things that may be of value be they words, images, feelings or what ever stimulus your inner thoughts are filtering through. With practice you will begin to see that this mental chatter is many times the quantum information stored in the Akashic or A-field record (quantum information transferred through the quantum vacuum between matter at a billion times the speed of light through singularity matrices). This is the science and the practical application behind the Akashic Record.
Since all things were once squeezed into a singularity and all the universe was once smaller than the most basic type of matter we know, since all things in the singularity existed all at one time we can assume that all things are connected this way, and if you view our universe like a sponge that is being stretched outward and we are just part of that sponge then anything that effects the sponge also has it's effect on us.

I believe Edgar Cayce could read the Akashic Records, wish I could find someone nearby who would read it for me.
Good information on a fascinating subject!
