Peter Parker is an orphan. He lives together with his uncle Ben and Aunt May in New York. As a university student, Peter Parker is nothing special. But a visit to a lab changes his life. He was bitten by a radioactive spider, and since then he has the proportionate speed and strength of a spider. In the beginning, Parked only uses his special ability to make money. After his Uncle Ben is killed by a burglar, Parker decides to use his super powers to fight crime.

The story is from the live-action TV series The Amazing Spider-Man. It's based on a comic book The Amazing Spider-Man.

When the series aired on TV, it received a few negative reviews from audience. People criticized the series for its lack of any real "supervillains". Even Stan Lee, the co-creator of Spider-Man expressed his dissatisfaction with the show. He said it was too juvenile.
