51How can we fix our economy?
The first thing I think we need to do is to get our government officials to stop the corruption. No more lobbyist or special intrest groups. No more wasteful spending on lame projects like cow maneur management. I understand the stimulus, it is to help the middle class Americans much like myself.
We have been told over and over that the rich make this economy go around, since late in 2007 the economy and this country have been on a downward spiral. The previous administration had undone all the good that was in place for a country like the U.S. to be a super power nation. The unfortunate thing is mismanagement. The Bush administration had put us into two wars that we will never ever win. Deregulation in the banking industry, in the corporate world got us to point now were we could end up going to a flat zero.
I feel we are in a depression and not a deep recession as many professional analyst say.
This all started back around September of 2007. Corporations started laying off employees to save money for their companies, or keep the profits good so their bonuses would be bigger. So as the American workforce lose their jobs they end up not being able to pay their mortgages. Thus putting a lot of stress on banking industry. I believe in order to truly get out of the economic we are in, we need to stop fully concentrating on the banks and their failing ways. We need to concentrate more on employement.
We need to get the middle class tax payer spending money again in some way. The President and his administration are trying this. But conservative talk show host are already hoping this fails. Sad thing is our President has not even been in office two months yet, and this poor guy who inherited this mess get the blame from republicans.
The republicans in congress did not want this stimulus package, they kept saying they have good bill, but was ever submitted to be reviewed? My guess is,NO!
There are other ways to get this economy moving. If any one remembers during the Presidential primaries there were two candidates who wanted this, and one was made to look like blabbering idiot. This gentleman was Ron Paul. The second was Mike Huckabee. These two gentleman wanted to rid the country of a tax collection agency known as the IRS. The way this could be done is by implimenting a "fair tax". How could this help our economy? According to what I have read on a website fairtax.org, and what I have heard from a man and author Neal Boortz, this is how it works. First the 35% corporate tax would be basically lowered, lowered to 23%. Bringing back American business' that left this country and foriegn business' who want to have a location in the U.S. This would create enough jobs for every American to work. Then the tax paying Americans would basically be able to keep their money they recieve through their paychecks. Once someone who goes to a store as an example, and buys products, groceries, a new hdtv, a new digital camera, clothes and so on. The 23% tax would be added in to the price of the goods. Once the store collects the neccesary money they then would pay the government the tax money. Now this would not only be paid for by tax payers now, but those who get paid under the table, illegal immigrants, drug dealers, prostitutes, no one would be exempt from paying this tax. The higher the item is priced the more the tax.
So with many Americans who would have extra money in their pockets, the more they are most likely going to spend. They will pay off credit card debt, payoff mortgages. College kids would be able to afford to go to college. This is a win win for everyone.
So how does this sound bad? I know it ios not the typical way of life. But then again after what we have been through in the past 8 years there is no typical way of life.
Just imagine how profitable the United States of America would be just with cleaning up our government from corruption, and giving those hard working Americans extra money each week. I bet if you had this you would go buy that new car you been wanting.
Now think how well the global economy would be if this "fair tax" were to be a dream come true. As I said before its a win win for everyone.
