The Apple iPhone Review

How much publicity did the Apple iPhone get?! If Politicians put as much effort into the promises as Apple did advertising the iPhone the world would be so much better, don't you think? The Apple iPhone was announced in January 2007 and released in June 2007 (they didn't muck around, did they?). It has a nice big 3.5 inch screen and yes, we all know it is a touch screen phone (oh, and it slides! Weeeeeee!).

The iPhone can cope with Polyphonic and MP3 ringtones and it does have the vibration function as well as being able to keep call records. It doesn't have a memory card slot but it is available with 4, 8 or 16GB internal memory (who needs a memory card anyway?).

Data-wise, it has GPRS, EDGE, bluetooth, WLAN (Wi-Fi) and a USB port. Sorry, no Infrared. It's operating system is Mac (go figure) and it can send and receive SMS and Emails. Surprisingly, the Apple iPhone does not have games! This is an outrage!

So many impressive applications and software, so little time! Okay, okay, so having no games can be pretty disappointing but let me try and cheer you up a little.

Camera! It has a camera! A 2MP camera in fact. It also has Google Maps, Widgets support, a calculator, memo/to-do list, TV output, iPod audio/video player (see, who needs games?), you can edit and browse photos and the list goes on.

The Apple iPhone's battery life is pretty respectable. It lasts 250hr stand-by and 8hrs talk-time. Not bad, huh?

Apart from lacking some basic bits and pieces, I doubt you will be disappointed with the Apple iPhone.
