A Timeless Pastime
Bubble Blowing has evolved to be a favorite pastime to the young and old alike. As far back as 1733, Families who had no other means for toys were able to fashion a wand with wire and soap. The earliest bubble blowers were wands and pipes. . Bubble vintage sets were sold with a pipe a bar of soap and a dish. These appeared round the 1940's. Automated Bubble blowers have been around since the 1950's. The Howdy Doody show was the first character to be on a bubble blower

It is as simple as taking pipe cleaners and making them into a circle shape. Twist two together to make a handle. You can even use the wire form a clothes hanger. You don't even have to take it apart. Just stretch the hanger part a little wider to make a giant bubble wand. Craft wire can also be used and is a little more pliable than the hanger wire!

Bubbles... simple yet so fascinating. My daughters go berserk with bubbles. My dogs do too. Great hub
I love bubbles. They can be great for keeping the kids busy wherever we may go. The bubble shows look awesome.
I think everyone loves bubbles and you get reminded of that when you get the joy of having kids. How cool that they have these bubble shows. My daughter loved the pictures of the huge bubbles :)
May be childish, but it's so relaxing. Probably because all you have to do is focus, breathe, and anticipate something fun.
