The Battle of the Smithsonian has begun!

Be prepared for the greatest battle the world has yet to foresee, in "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian." Ben Stiller reprises his role as night guard Larry Daley, whom infiltrates the Smithsonian Institute to rescue Attila the Hun (Patrick Gallagher), Sacajawea (Mizuo Peck), Jedediah (Owen Wilson), and Octavius(Steven Coogan), from some of the museums villainous historical figures such as Al Capone (Jon Bernthal), Napoleon Bonaparte (Alain Chabat), Ivan the Terrible (Christopher Guest), and the ring leader, Kahmunrah (Hank Azaria). Their master plan, using the stone tablet, from the first film, to bring forth Kahmunrah's army and take over the world. Therefore, it's up to Larry and his new friend Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams), to find the way to foil their plans. Just another day as the typical night guard. Like the last film, Ben Stiller along with his supporting cast were simply hilarious throughout the movie. Although the story comes off as a bit predictable and cliche at times, it makes up for it in character development and comedic moments. During the film, Larry is unsure what to do with his life even though he's rich and successful, due to his new inventions. He finds himself unbearably miserable as he yearns for the simple life of being a security guard again. It's through Larry's journey realizes that fame and success can't buy happiness. Thus, allowing for the audience to identify with the main character through his magical journey, to restore order through the Smithsonian. Plus, the special effects weren't too bad either. I was really amazed at the level set designs and costumes, for this film. Overall, "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" may not be one of the best comedies out there, due to its story content, but its definitely a decent film for the entire family to enjoy.
