Photography: Let the picture tell the story

Every Photographers Dream
That one photo. The oppurtunity to catch a photo that capures the beauty and tells a story in it self. The photo that covered Time Magazine after the Oaklahoma Bombing was the most artististic capture of expression, pain, love, hate it had it all. That is what inspired me to start taking my camera everywhere to capture that moment that would just say everthing.
Choosing Your Camera
Digital Cameras are great for beginners. Smaller digital cameras are less expensive and can fit easily into your bag. I have a Kodak Easy Share that I carry everywhere! It is small, convenient and you can email your pictures on the spot from your Camera.
I have had several larger digital cameras, a Nikon, Cannon and Fuji. I keep going back to my film cameras. I am currently using my Cannon 35 mm with 180 lens. There is just something about pictures taken with film camera, it is harder, you have no auto focus but the harder the more the rewards when you produce a fine piece of art.
While photography is just a hobby for me and I really don't see a future in anything else but a hobby. Although there are allot of opportunities for a photographers. Having the correct equipment and being at the right place at the right time could be very profitable!
Making my own story with pictures
Here is a slide show of Aaliyah when she first became acquainted with a Blue Jay in a tree. Capturing her facial expressions and the look in her eyes told she had seen something she loved and wanted to watch all day. Some are just some close-up photos I got that show so much expression. I will always take pictures. I absolutely love it!
A Story within itself
This is Andre' Ellerbe, a student at Saint Andrews Presbyterian College. He was up for the wrestling match with an injury. The Pictures tell the story of Agony and Defeat. I DID NOT HAVE THE CORRECT LENS FOR THIS PICTURES!
I can't leave out the Flowers and Nature
Gardening is a hobby too, but taking pictures of the beautiful flowers after they have bloomed is worth all the hard work. These are just a couple of phots I took of my flower beds.
