One should definitely consider drinking red wine (in moderation of course!). Drinking red wine is certainly a pleasurable experience. Red wine should be considered as the logical choice for the alcohol drinker.

Red wine is prepared by fruits which are rich in antioxidants. More and more research shows that red wine have health benefits because of the presence of high level of antioxidants called “Resveratrol" which is present in the skins and seeds of fermented and processed grapes.

It is the high content of Resveratrol in red wine that helps in preventing the occurrence of several neuro-degenerative such as Alzheimer and Parkinson diseases and illnesses commonly seen in old people.

Flavoniods and tannins substances found in red wine can increase the levels of healthy cholesterol or high-density lipoproteins (HDL) in the individual’s blood. Red wine's antioxidant property can also assist in the reduction of the bad cholesterol or low-density lipoproteins (LDL) in the human body. Low LDL reduces the risk of developing a variety of cardiovascular diseases.

There is also an other benefit of red wine which is that it reduces the dangerous effect of food poisoning. Red wine cleanse the human body from various toxins. Last but not least , red wine contains blood pressure lowering-compounds.

So enjoy your glass of red wine knowing that it helps you maintain good health..but always remember that drinking wine in excessive quantities will damage your health so please consume only very moderate quantities of red wine.
