Benefits of Green Tea

Although it may sound cliche some of the oldest methods that are overshadowed by newer chemical solutions are truly the best. For instance the benefits of green tea are extremely far reaching yet it would seem that it times we constantly overlook them in hopes of finding something that is better made in a lab or elsewhere. When the reality of it is, the benefits of green tea far outweigh the positive benefits of any chemically designed compound, not ot mention the fact that there are no negative side effects of drinking green tea as a form of positive health enhancement.

Green tea has been used by the Chinese as an ancient technique to help cure many ailments for hundreds of years. These days it is most often used as a form of weight loss although there are many benefits outside of the realm of weight loss that seem to go under the radar. For instance it has been tested and proven that drinking green tea for women will help to reduce the risk of breast and other cancers. At the rate at which Americans are coming down with cancer, even if we can not fully prevent or cure it with the consumption of green tea, it would still be a good idea to drink it if their were even a slight chance that it could help you in some way shape or form.

Other health risks and diseases that have been equated to having vanished after consuming large amounts of green tea over an extended period of time include but are not limited to rheumatoid arthritis, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, infection and impaired immune function.

If you are wondering how green tea is able to deliver such outlandish benefits to those who decide to consume it the reasoning is relatively simple. The tea leaves in green tea contain catechin polyphenols most notably epigallocatechin gallate. This powerful anti-oxidant is responsible for the positive effects that green tea is known to have delivered. This works through the process of eliminating the free radicals that may be floating around in the body causing pain and other ailments to creep up unexpected. The idea behind the benefits of green tea come when you drink large amounts of the fluid, effectively eliminating nearly every free radical that may or may not be floating around in your system.

There are other lesser known benefits of green tea such as its weight loss properties which come from the fact that it helps to increase the speed of your metabolism as well as give you an extra caffeine boost. The tea has also been noted to help get rid of tooth decay and other minor issues that may creep up on a seemingly healthy individual.

At the end of the day their should be no reason for anyone not to try and drink at least one cup of this tea every single day. Even if you are not noticing any ailments or dealing with weight problems, the other health benefits of green tea have shown to be very far reaching.

The taste may not be the best, although you can sweeten it with sugar and what not. Not to mention that these days you can buy the small packets to add with your water that are a bit more flavorful. With those benefits however, I would push through the taste :)
