These five tricks by five very different performers represent some of the best magic available on YouTube. Before each trick I have listed the Magician, and a couple things to watch for.

Steve Martin: The Great Flydini

Many people don't know that Steve Martin was a magician before he was a comedian. As a young man he practiced both arts and in this routine he combines the two marvelously. This classic of comedy magic is from the Johnny Carson Show. Keep an eye out for Martin's impeccable comedic timing.

Cyril Takayama: The Hamburger Trick

Cyril Takayama is a Japanese-American magician whose tricks have been taking the internet by storm. This particular trick is some of the best close up magic on the net. While watching, listen in for the Japanese word "Sugoi" (su-goy) which means "Great!", and "Tabetai" (Tah-bay-tie) which means "to want to eat".

Derren Brown: Tricking Advertisers

Derren Brown is a British psychological magician whose only American series, "Mind Control" played on the Sci-Fi network in Summer 2007. This illusion shows off Derren's particular style of building up an illusion slowly. I promise you the ending is worth waiting for. Give this man 6 minutes and you will not regret it.

Penn and Teller: The Cups and Balls

Penn and Teller are two of America's best magicians. They bring an incredibly unique take to classic tricks, totally reinventing them for a modern audience. This trick has been done thousands of times, and you can see it any night of the week at amateur magic shows. But in the hands of a couple of masters, the cups and balls becomes something much greater than a simple trick. That's the power of showmanship.

Kevin James: Half a Man Trick

This trick comes to us from "America's Got Talent". Kevin James is an up and coming magician and magic inventor who often performs bizarre and dangerous tricks. This particular trick wowed the judges, and got Kevin into the next round of the competition. Watch how excited Kevin is while performing this trick. He really shares his love for magic with the audience he is performing for.
