The Best Chocolate Cake Recipe EVER!
69Crazy Chocolate Cake
"Crazy" because there are no eggs used and you make it the DAY BEFORE.
Preheat oven to 350o
(To make using the Choco Bake™ ingredient below easier, while you're sifting together the dry ingredients, put the UNOPENED packages into a cup with HOT water. This will liquify the contents even more).
Sift together:
3 Cups Flour 2 Tsp Baking SODA
2 Cups Sugar 1 Tsp Salt
Make Hole, add following:
3 Pkgs Nestle Pre-Melted Choco Bake ™
3/4 Cup oil 2 Tsp Vanilla
2 TBSP white vinegar 2 Cups water
Beat with mixer, pour into greased/floured angel food cake pan or fluted pan (the pan style makes the steaming more effective).
Bake at 350o 1 hour. Check doneness with a wooden toothpick - it should come out clean.
Here's the "crazy" part! Once the cake is removed from the oven, wait 20 minutes then turn out of pan onto a plate. Best results will be if you have a covered cake plate. Cover the cake LOOSELY with tin foil if you don't have a covered cake plate set. It's important to turn the cake out after twenty minutes and cover it - the warmth of the cake at that time is needed to form the "steam" that is an important part of the successful results.
Let stand overnight! The cake will steam itself into the moistest, most delicious cake. The top of the cake will have a fugdy texture and is so good, you don't need to frost it if you don't want to, but if you do, it's fine that way too.
If you're tempted to check the cake out on the same day you baked it, (assuming you don't have a clear cover) you'll find the condensation will be dripping down everywhere - but let it. Better to leave it alone for the night.

Hi Catherine! Yes, it's cooking chocolate, but in semi-liquid form. You can also use 6 TBSP of cocoa if you can't find the liquid form. The steaming process should still give you a very moist cake.
Thanks - I will definitely try it. I have got a greedy family who love it when I bake!

The cake looks easy and delicious. I would like to try it. Not sure if we get Choco bake here in Australia - what is it exactly? Is it cooking chocolate?
