With Christmas not far off it is a great time to start thinking about gifts for the people on your list. It seems that kids are pretty simple to buy for, after all there are helpful lists like the Hot Toys for 2008 put out by Toys R Us and others to keep you up to date with what kids are craving this year.

Adults are not so easy sometimes. They can be hard to buy for. If you can identify something that they love and stick with that theme then you pretty much have it licked from then on.

Following are the Best Coffee Themed Christmas Gifts for 2008. If you have someone in your life that adores coffee then one of these gifts is sure to please them!

Coffee-opoly

Yes, it was only a matter of time before someone came out with a coffee based monopoly game! The board is laid out like a traditional monopoly board with places like No-Buzz, carafes to buy, taxes to pay, and french presses to try.

The six tokens are:

  • A donut
  • A big smile
  • A coffee bean
  • A coffee sack
  • A coffee maker
  • A coffee cup

This is going to be one of those things that the resident coffee freak will love if they love board games.

I-Roast Coffee Roaster

People who love coffee love it fresh. You can't get much fresher than roasting it yourself.

Roasting your own coffee gives you precise control over the roast and the flavor you want to bring out in the bean. It allows you to try beans that might not be commonly available as roasted coffee, and it definitely has snob appeal.

Yes, I roast my own beans...

The I-Roast will allow your coffee connoisseur to roast about five ounces of green coffee beans in fifteen minutes. That is enough for two large pots of coffee. The I-Roast is a great roaster for the price, many of the better roasters run over $500.00.

It features:

  • Programmable settings
  • Adjustable time and temperature
  • Easy to read LCD display
  • Double filtration of chaff

Coffeehouse Mysteries

Just get one book for a great stocking stuffer or the first several for a significant gift, but get these books!

Coffeehouse Mysteries are a series of adult (but clean) mystery books. Claire Cosi is the owner of a coffee shop called the Village Blend but she seems to consistently become the center of murder and mayhem.

The author is a fellow coffee lover and she knows her stuff. Her descriptions of the scents and tastes of the coffee will have any coffee lover licking their lips in anticipation. There are a lot of these books, so if you can get them hooked on the books you will be able to have a "no-brainer" gift for any occasion for a long time to come.

The coffee themed gift I'm hoping for is a travel mug that really works.

I want one that has a reliable lid, keeps my coffee nice & warm, fits the cup holder in my car, can go in the dishwasher, and doesn't take on the taste & smell of the drink. (I drink as much tea as coffee, and the two flavors do NOT belong together!)

Now really Santa, is that so much to ask for?
