Of course you can use any TV set to hook up to your games console for your gaming, and many people don't even realize that you can buy sets which are specifically designed with game playing in mind, so why should anyone bother to buy a gaming TV?

Well, there are a number of benefits, depending on which particular set you go for. One of the main things is that if you are using an ordinary televsion to play demanding games you will find that there is a sliight lag between the action of the game itself and the images updating on the screen. This can be annoying and can make tricky parts of the game that you are playing even trickier. That's the main technical reason, but there are also other benefits such as easy connections and extra games related buttons on the remote.

 This is another 32 inch set, this time from Vizio. Again it has the full 1080P high definition resolution and side terminals for easy access. This set boasts a 178 degree viewing angle, so it is a great one to go for if you often play games with large groups of friends where not everyone can be sitting in front of the screen. Including SRS Labs TruSurround XTTM this set also has great sound.

 Sharp really are the masters of making this kind of television so here is another of their sets for my third choice. It has all of the same features that you will find above in the description from my first choice, but there is also a bunch of other features besides starting at environmentally friendly manufacturing, super slimline size and choice of colors, through to clever little functions like it's ability to automatically adjust to brightness setting to perfectly suit the room that it is in and the four-wave backlight.
